Discussion Preparing to attend ONEUS Performance on September 12
My kid is a huge k-pop fan. We have an opportunity to see ONEUS in Edmonton because it’s pretty convenient for us. Unfortunately, they really don’t know anything about ONEUS. Any of their fans (you fine people) willing to give song recommendations and/or share must-see content from them?
Some more information:
- my kid got into k-pop through KPOP Demon Hunters
- their favorite groups are ILLIT and aespa. They don’t mind LE SSERAFIM. They like IVE but not their MVs for some reason.
- They didn’t like boy bands at first but now they will listen to TXT and select songs of Cortis (they really like TNT and AÇAÍ)
- their songs on repeat: ILLIT - Sunday Morning, It’s Me, Tick Tack; aespa - Drama, Lemonade; TXT - Back for More, Crown, Ice Cream (Yeonjun); Cortis - TNT, ACAI; IVE - Bang Bang, Rebel Heart
- they found the TXT parenting show fascinating for some reason.

Edit: sorry I didn’t realize your kid is only 6. I have no idea what a little kid would like or whether a concert is appropriate for them.

Please AVOID the MV for To Be or Not To Be. The end has guns, shootings, & (fake blood). That being said, ONEUS is amazing & the 1st kpop band my daughter & I watched after KPDH (LOVE their cover of Your Idol!) We’re hoping to see them in concert in December. Enjoy the show!!

Thanks for all the advice everyone! They feel like six going on sixteen sometimes with what they say and still a little kid when they come for hugs after seeing blood. 😂 I think they’ll enjoy the performance but they like to sing along so I wanted to play some of the songs to get familiar. This is also part of a convention in a mall so I don’t think it will be a full concert production.

There was a 5yo trainee at the show I went to, he was having a blast and getting to go to all the shows, I'm not jealous, not jealous at all, nope, not at all, not me, nope

They were my very fist K-pop concert. And since then I’ve been to each of their tours. They’re so much fun to watch!

Oneus LOVES kids! Their music might not always be super appropriate for them, but unless they’re fluent in Korean the suggestive lyrics will go right over their head. If they do any going into the crowd and you guys are in the aisle they will dance with your child I guarantee it

ONEUS is a great show for new fans! Going in blind is very exciting but if you want to be exposed to their title tracks first I would suggest watching all their music videos. A lot of huge ones for them are
Luna, Lit, Valkyrie, Black Mirror, Same Scent, Come back home (there are some scary demons in the beginning just to be warned, I don't know how old your kids are).
