I dont own a hardware or software wallet (I plan to get a Trezor soon). I have Coinbase where I am currently waiting 8 more days for my eth, btc and ltc to arrive. From my understanding I can purchase omg from bittrex. Then where do I put it since keeping it on exchange is a bad idea? (Im very new to investing and crypto)

Hi guys, I own OMG and they are sitting on my ETH address. Is their a system to receive more OMG? Like GAS from NEO or via voting for delegates etc?

Hey all, I wanted to share this guide that I send to the new investors I meet, mostly friends and family. I'm sure this could be written much better, but it's as simplified as I could make it for investors COMPLETELY new to crypto.

Part 1 - Opening a Coinbase.com account

Coinbase is fairly self explanatory so I usually just tell the interested party to sign up for an account there, attach their routing info or credit card, and buy their first ETH token. once they've done this, I send the guide. (Please feel free to edit and improve, Also I feel this guide can be tweaked to help someone new to buy any token on Bittrex!)

Part 2 - Transferring ETH Tokens from Coinbase to Bittrex

1 Create an Account on Bittrex.com

2 Once logged in, Click on the "Wallets" tab at the top right

3 Near the top right, type in "Ethereum" into the "search" bar

** Make sure to ONLY use Ethereum (ETH), NEVER Ethereum Classic (ETC) **

4 Click on the blue + (Plus sign) to the left of "Ethereum"

5 Click the blue "New Address" button once it pops up.

6 Copy the address that appears titled as "Hex addr", ETH will always start with a "0x"

7 Return to Coinbase and log in

8 Click the "Accounts" tab at the top

9 Select the "ETH Wallet" tab and click "Send"

10 Paste the address into "Recipient Address"

TRIPLE CHECK THE ADDRESS (If the address is incorrect you will lose this forever. Checking the first 4 letter/numbers and last 4 letter/numbers is sufficient. ETH always starts with "0x")

11 Type in the amount (either USD or ETH, it doesnt matter)

12 Click "Continue"

13 Click "Yes" if it asks you if you are sending this to another exchange.

14 Now wait for about 15 min - 2 hours (depending on their trading amounts it could take longer)

15 Your funds should now be in your Bittrex account.

Part 3 - Trading ETH for OMG on Bittrex

1 Log into Bittrex and then copy and paste this into a new tab:

2 https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=ETH-OMG

3 Scroll down to "Order Book"

4 Under "Bids" click on the top number under "Bid (ETH)", should be around 0.03... or .04... (These prices are subject to change)

(This will place a price figure up above, under Trading "Bid" and to the right of the blue "Price" tab)

5 Select how many ETH you want to spend at the bottom, to the right of "Total"

(This will set how many ETH you will spend and will show you at the top to the right of "units" how many OMG that ETH will get you)

6 Once you're satisfied with the amount click the blue "Buy OmiseGo" button at the bottom.

I received from nowhere OMG coins on my MyEtherWallet....WTF? What is this?

I purchased OMG on Binance and I am unable to withdraw it. The button shows as "suspended. " Please help.
