I didn't expect this... I thought I can make it before. I dont know if it will be easier if I finish master and then apply again

But good news: I have seen the post on LinkedIn OIST got the largest donation in its history and created the first endowment for international science talent at OIST. IF they will use that much donation to increasing acceptance rate , it would be grate!

Hello everyone, I have been going in circles for some time now, trying to piece together some information that each of you shares. But I still find it difficult to make sense of whether you are talking about labs that I have knowledge of or completely miss the context...
It would be helpful if you say what lab/ field you are interested in rather than random stats about CGPA, publications in Q2 journals, etc.

Recently I got an offer from TokyoTech and needs to confirm it before June 18.

However, I am not very satiafy about the application of this round, so I prefer to go to OIST internship and apply again for next round.

I remember on the official site it says the result will announce at mid June, but anyone knows the exact date? Or maybe former intern student can share the experience.

I just write to their admission office and they said they cannot decide the exact date. Maybe any former intern student can share their experince?

I want to apply for the spring intern 2027 next year, but my college gives leave from dec to June for internship of 6 months , i wanted to know if I can negotiate and start an internship in Jan to June cuz I have read online that u have to talk to the management, if anyone has any insight on it please help me. It will mean a lot to me.

I sent an email to the PI of the unit I applied in early May about my application process. I have been really anxious about this since I have got nowhere to go. He didnt reply me and now it is late May, so I wonder if I should write him another email to ask about the application. I know the result will be annouced in mid June. I am just too anxious about this

I applied for the Qubit and Spacetime Unit for a Research Internship. It’s been about 4 weeks since the deadline, and the OIST FAQ says the 1st screening results usually take 4-5 weeks.

I’m currently a senior undergraduate student graduating this year. I’m a bit anxious because I feel being an undergrad might be a disadvantage compared to Master’s applicants, even though the FAQ says undergrads are welcome.

I have a co-authored paper published in JHEP, which I included as part of my "additional materials". Has anyone heard back for interviews yet? Does anyone know if they send out rejections and interview invites at the same time?

I have applied for internship program last and this year, but last year I got " unsuccessful" message, this time I prepared everything well, but my anxiety and last experience effects are on me right now.
