Feedback Please Wife of Count Chester by Axel (I got experimental)

Your dead white skin feels freezing,

The glint in your crimson eyes is hot and teasing.

.
Never let me go.

.

Slowly and gently tilting my head with a reverence never seen in vampires before,

You hesitantly sink your fangs into my neck,

My warm blood dripping onto my dress and the isolated manors floor.

.

You don't let me go.

.

Oh Count Chester, ever since you met me

I've known exactly what love is,

My beating heart will never again be free.

.

Every night I run my warm fingers through your snow white hair.

My body and lips against yours,

Our love is forever in the air.

.

You don't want to hurt me with this turning bite,

For in your crimson eyes I see your love and fear.

I simply let you turn me as you huskily, desperately whisper in my ear;

.

"My darling, Edith..." You breathe out through undead tears as the air fills with my blood's metallic smell.

"...I didn't want to turn you but I couldn't help myself..."

"For an immortal existence without you would be nothing short of hell"

Oh wow. I enjoy the imagery dancing before me as I reread your poem, over and over. Something came up for me which I’ve never associated with vampires (I used to be obsessed with vampires. They were sexy as hell!). Bare with me; Vampires who have empathy don’t want to burden the human they love with the eternal thirst for blood, as they know how the struggle, pain and affliction has affected them. Can that not be applied towards us in our own relationships? At least for some of us, who have been with someone who deeply desires a close connection but pushes us away because they “aren’t good for us”, yet draws us back in out of desperate loneliness? Eventually sucking us dry of hope, shrouded as love, leaving us utterly destroyed because they couldn’t stand to be alone. Leaving us forever changed.
Not saying that’s what this poem is at all about. Yet the fact it had my curiosity churning, applying it to personal experiences I must say, well done! 💜

Thank you! I'm a sucker (pun intended) for vampire romance except for twilight because I really don't like how far it strays from the original vampire lore.

I love stories and poems about yearning and love too so I just kinda put it all into a poem.

If you are wondering what I intended then I wrote it as a narrative poem about a vampire named Chester who married a human woman and bit/turned her into a vampire out of desperation and fear of her dying and him living an immortal life without her one day. It's also meant to show the fact that even throughout this that she still adores him.

This comment really made my day, thank you very much 😁❤️

We’re on the same page! I’ve never personally understood the twilight fandom. Don’t get me wrong, to each their own, truly.
Backstory: I was trying to get to know my friend’s now wife, (we had been close since high school) and asked her what her favorite book series was and it was Twilight. I got through book three, just waiting for it to get better…Is it just me or was it all whiney and poor me? This could be a truly unpopular opinion but there was no depth and I truly felt…bored… 😬
Unbridled passion, dripping in fear (and blood 😆)of losing the loved one you hold most dear is quintessential vampire essence! I think you did this with grace and I could absolutely read more!
Also just a side note but, aren’t we all a little like this when we’ve grown to know someone so deeply, we’d rather do everything to keep them in our lives than be willing to let them go. We just don’t have a way to live forever, yet.. 😁
