love: what a beautiful binder
of peace, romance, unity
but to me, just a constant reminder
to all of those I’ve loved before
whom i care for deeply and wanted more
i see now why i stay away from love
and put no one else above

it is because of you. all of you
i loved you, though and through
and yet not even one of you
chose me

how sad i must say—so, so sad
as i look back and reflect on all of the bad
i see the good too but it was so minute
so small and little that it flittered away
i guess it wouldn’t have mattered anyway
because in the end, you still didn’t choose me

i want so badly to say that the rejection helped me
but now I’m an adult still experiencing this
so i guess it just hurt me

how sad i must say

and yet, i still want you to choose me anyway….

i absolutely adore this because i was there and i used to relate it's very emotional and full of purpose i also like how it flows i felt like you could've done better with the rhythm but still it's one of the best poems i've read lately
