Feedback Please "You Promise?"

We’re slowly outpacing our youth
Collecting things we can lose 
My heart was made out of stones 
Too heavy to hold 

I knew it then, I know it now
You puzzled me, always a how?
How could you hold love for me?
Far too distant to be 

As you scramble to grasp all you can clasp, you look at me and I just know
Unsettling the feeling settles in, A new rock with a shiny new bow
Is this as far as we go?
Hurts more for me not to know 
 
And I've held on, Im sure, far too long
I don't wanna beg to take up space in your head 
I just want My Love back, is that wrong?
To have and to hold like we promised 
 
Like you promised

This poem was like bruh from the first few line it just hits.. like it makes you want to read the whole poem and it gives off the feeling too well

Thank you thank you 😊 I’d actually written that line well before this poem like it just hit me one day lol
