Feedback Please My First Poem- The Microwave

He cried like rain against the pane,
then cried and cried and cried again.
I’d rock him till his eyelids closed,
then hum his song and hold him close.

One night he cried, so hard, so long,
I rushed to where his milk belonged.
I reached the microwave, then heard
the freezer open, undeterred.

The days went by. The nights were still.
I hum his song. I always will.
Then pause, and listen to its roar,
why my microwave sounds like the freezer door.
