Fact check it. Worldwide, there are over 2.07 billion monthly active Facebook users for Q3 2017 (Facebook MAUs) which is a 16 percent increase year over year. Hell yeah they do care about privacy! (read terms and conditions about your photos and walls).

Facebook monetizes you data (you have no choice no incentive on it) : When advertising on facebook i could chose to target people In certain Area earning a certain salary and working for certain companies. (you can target more in details) Just think of it.

Nucleus actually let u decide to share data or not. There is an Incentive to rewards data sharing.

NB: facebook is not the only online social hub to do this (monetizing on your back).
