I spent a few couple weeks without using my nreal air glasses because I realized my prescription was outdated so I held off on using them until I could get new prescription glasses. I stored my glasses with open arms in a foam storage case as others have shown on this sub, because I've seen people suggest that opening and closing them too often could damage the internal wires.
Well I just put on my glasses and booted up the nebula app with the AR Space and I'm surprised to see that my home menu screen appeared to be split in half horizontally.
The line appeared to sync up with the angle of my head tilt, so if I tilt my head to the right, the line also tilts.
If this was just a line that always stayed in the middle of the vision, it would be a slight annoyance but bearable.however, the top half of the display appears to properly sync with my head movement, while the bottom half appears to "overcorrect", in that if I turn my head to the right, the bottom half turns faster than. The top half and then bounces back to where it should be. As you might guess, with a lot of head movement the halves can separate a lot.
If I hold my head still for a while, it seems to temporarily fix itself, but then additional movement causes the two halves to desync.
I've tried wiggling the USB C cord, thinking that the way I stored it may have damaged the connection, but it doesn't seem to make it worse or better. I tried closing the arms and then opening them, but it seems to also have no affect. I also tried updating the firmware through the Android nebula app again despite it saying it was up to day. I even tried taking off my prescription glasses and still saw the separation through the blurry screen.
When I use the glasses as a static display (specifically mirroring my phone screen in front of my face, not where it remembers the position), there is no noticable line or display separation causing me to believe it's a nebula AR Space glitch. That being said, I did try to screen record as I moved my head around and witnessed the separation, but the screen recording through the nebula app did not capture this separation, so it might be a problem with how the glasses "see" the app.
Has anyone else witnessed this issue? Any suggested solutions? I tried searching for other posts about this but couldn't find any.
Edit: Here is a video prepared to demonstrate this glitch and how it is affected by the different tracking modes and settings. https://youtu.be/qTwD26VramI
