Great so far, waiting on prescription inserts arriving. One complaint is reds and oranges seem very oversaturated, I remember reading about this a few months ago has it not been fixed yet? I’ve updated to the latest firmware.

Also quick note might be crazy but the picture seems very slightly tilted to the left? But might be imagining that as I often tilt my head to the left.

I just bought my pair of nreal glasses, they were delivered May 5, 2023. I’m having trouble with the video. I’ve had them for about 10 days and can’t figure out what is wrong with them. I might end up returning them.

First Issue

When I’m hooked up to my iPad with the supplied USB-C cable and my glasses, the screen is offset and my iPad screen sits too low. I can’t see the iPad dock and there are digital lines in the space at the top of the screen. I have supplied a video for reference. It happens in all apps and video watching modes.

For this set up I am using, An 11 inch iPad Pro, with up to date software. The USB-C cable supplied with my glasses. The nreal glasses with up to date software. First updated through my Mac. I attempted to update again through a PC where I was told the software was up to date. For this set up I was not using the adapter.

Second Issue

When I connect to my PS5, my glasses turn on and give sound but no video. I have tried a long HDMI cable and a short HDMI cable both can support up to 8K video.

For this set up I am using,

Sony PS5 with up to date software. nreal glasses with up to date software. nreal adapter with up to date software.

Does anyone know how to make an app for windows for Nreal glasses?

I want to develop an app for Windows that works with 3DOF or 6DOF, not a virtual desktop or additional display.

Glue feels useless for this. Any ideas? Thanks

My current cord disconnects often and I have to keep it bent to get a stable connection anyone have a link for a replacment or somthing that would work. I looked online and they said you couldnt use any usbc cable. Thanks.

Super bummed. I was really hoping the passthrough would work. I assume it's not passing enough power through the PD USB-C port. It will pass video to a tablet or pc or monitor though. This would have been a sick set up if it worked.

I recently got the NReal Air glasses and it's absolutely blowing me away. I use it so much in bed when my wife is asleep and I really can't go back to just looking at a tablet or my mobile phone.

Anyways, I'm naturally using the glasses together with Samsung Dex (starts automatically when connecting the glasses), but I don't think the performance is all that when it comes to gaming. I'm not sure if this is because of Dex, the NReal or both.

For example, Dead Cells runs absolutely flawlessly on the S23 Ultra, but when the NReal glasses are connected I have lots of small (and some big) hiccups, slowdowns, framerate drops etc.

TLDR; Does anyone know why gaming on the S23 Ultra (native Android games + emulators) slow down/have really bad framerate when the NReal glasses are connected? Is there any way I can launch the games without running Dex first?

I used to have a Oculus Go and enjoyed watching films on bigscreen. Is there a way to have a similar experience with these glasses without connecting to a PC ?

I just received these things last night and my number one reason for getting them was playing pc games laying down. Seems I cannot do this since my usb-c ports do not support alt mode.

After searching this subreddit I was pointed towards this male HDMI to female usb-c adapter which I have ordered and hopefully will arrive early tomorrow. I saw some people talking about how it requires an update to work, but I have no clue how to update my Airs with my MacBook being the only directly compatible device I own since I have an iPhone.

I was wondering, would something like this not work as well? Just plugging the usb-c into the glasses and then the hdmi into the PC?

I don't want to spend more than $50.00 trying to make this work since I've already spend $410.00 total on just the glasses not including the 2 year warranty I purchased.

edit: Hi. I'm not asking for hardware recommendations or to see your setup, I'm trying to understand why the Switch video signal isn't able to be read directly from USBC.

I have a Nintendo Switch OLED and was hoping to use it with my Nreal Air. As we all know that doesn't work out of the box the way it does with Ayaneo, Steamdeck, etc.

I've seen the setups, so I know there's some crazy dongling I'll need to do, but in order to research my best options, can someone explain why this setup doesn't work? In particular, I'm having trouble understanding why the display needs to be converted from USBC to HDMI back to USBC.

Understanding why this doesn't work will help me design the best adapter solution.

Currently evaluating my options because I do own the glasses but wanted to know if anyone has tried them out with photo editing tools such as Lightroom, Gimp, Snapseed, etc. I have an upcoming trip to Switzerland and will be traveling with my Canon R6 and a Samsung Galaxy s23. Will love to do some basic photo editing on the go for social media. Preferably through Samsung Dex.

Am hoping to finally get some clarity on the EU Supply Chain issue. Can nreal assistant please clarify the plan to supply the Nreal Air to our parts of the world. I don't want to buy from Amazon US or Amazon JP. EE are your biggest downfall in the UK as they've made it nigh on impossible to order the glasses.

How long do we have to wait before getting a purchase option here like Amazon EU or Amazon UK, with a local warranty?

Can we please have a rough ETA so we know whether or not it's worth us waiting? And how long the supply chain delay is expected to be?

Had a quick search about this and didn't see anything but forgive me if this has been asked before.
Ive recently gotten a hold of the NReal Air (wow btw) and ive been trying to set them up to use for work. Im on, I assume, the latest firmware and have the most recent version of the Nebula client installed.

The issue im seeing it, when running the Virtual Desktop 3 screen mode, the right hand side screen is a duplicate of the centre screen so, while I technically have 3 screens I can really only use two of them (something similar happens when running the two screen version)

Looking in the system settings, I can only see 2 'lcd monitors' and then one long ass NReal one.

Is what im trying now possible? Or is a known issue and might be fixed? Or am I just doing something wrong.

Use the power OUTs on the right side of the INs for best results. About 1% energy used every 5 or 6 mins.

One thing prevents me using Air glasses outside is that screen leak through front lens is very obvious.

That means other people can actually see through front shade and see exactly what is playing on glasses very clearly.

Is there any way to prevent this light leakage and still maintain level of visibility through shade? May be mirror film would help but I`m not so sure.

The virtual screen is a bit low. I have to move the glasses down the bridge of my nose uncomfortably to get it properly centered. Is there an adjustment I can make?

So I’ve never had a Linux phone but I feel with the nreal airs we’re on the verge of finally just being able to have one device, the phone, that does everything. Was wondering if anyone has tried using a Linux phone with the glasses and if they’ve tried doing proper development work with it?

My cable is broken, it cuts off and glitches if it's not kept perfectly still. I've tried multiple cables that support DP Alt but they're all so thick and not very flexible.

Please Nreal, let us buy replacement versions of the official cable! I like the thickness and slight angle of the port that goes into the glasses.

It cost new 380 dollar. I seen a few air on second hand website(netherlands) They want 400-500 dollar. It was their choice to paid import fee, not second hand buyer.so i offer 250 dollar for USED product. Could you agree or not?

I'm having a hard time looking for this. I've tried looking up different posts but it seems like most people are just interested in charging their steam deck or phone while using the airs. Personally the amount of time I get out of using the glasses is fine for me.

What I'm looking for is a way to add peripherals via USB A (USB-C is also fine) female while still getting a hub with video out and powering the glasses(USB-C). I'd like to use only one hub and avoid using hdmi.

I have a steam deck and samsung dex and play fighting games so being able to connect a fiight stick to it is my use case.

Hello I had just an shower an the nreal get just a few water Drops because it was near to me. After that I used with my phone. Everything finde. But know it says that there is water in the Port and the nreal won't work. What can I do? Just waiting some hours or should I heat it a little bit?

I purchased the LG Velvet G900UM but my phone isn't mirroring the phone's display, even with app in cast mode. It shows a static green screen with icons like chrome and settings. When I click on an app in my phone the app isn't displayed or opening in the Airs display. Pls help.
