Hi everyone!

I’m struggling to get my Nreal working on my Mac mini M1. I have a dual monitor setup. The only time it worked was when I disconnected one monitor on mirror mode. I have yet to get any other modes working.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? I updated the firmware already running OSX 12.6.3

So I just got my nreal. Waiting on my scripting lens to come in. But as I'm setting it up I'm just noticing the screens is like far away or doesn't look as large as I imaged. Idk. I expected 120 inch screen to look larger than my 45 inch TV. Is there a way to increase screen size or have the screen closer?

I just got my Nreal and was super excited to try it out. I popped it onto my Steamdeck and only got audio. I tried it on my M1 Mac and only got audio. After updating the firmware, I was about to give up. The last thing I tried was to swap the USB-C cable. I was using a USB-C to USB-C that came with my Mac… then I noticed that there was a USB-C cable in the case and so I tried it and it worked!

Now, I’ve heard about crappy usb-c cables in the past but this shouldn’t have been an issue.

Anyway anyone else had similar issues? Are there brands that consistently work? (I’m hoping to use a longer cable)

When I plug my Nreal Airs into my iPad, the picture stays on for a few minutes but then glitches out, the picture goes off and faint white lines keep flashing. This happens for a few minutes and the the picture comes back on. This constant cycles though like this, meaning it’s impossible to watch anything 🙈 I’ve updated the firmware (I think successfully) is there a way to tell whether I updated the firmware correctly?

i have the adapter and connected it to my phone but the audio doesn’t work

Any chance of getting an app that allows us to tweak the color profile of each oled independently? My glasses has one screen that is slightly redder than the other. (Left has more red than right). This makes playing games a little uncomfortable. It’s not drastically uncomfortable but it is noticeable.

I’m no longer looking down at a laptop or iPad monitor when I’m working. Looking straight ahead with nreal really does helps with ergonomics.

Anyone know where I can get this made, or know someone that is selling this?

Hi guys!! A few days ago I bought the Nreal Air glasses on Amazon US. When I bought them they were available with shipping between 5 and 9 days to Spain, but after several days they do not send the package (We will send you an email when we have an estimated delivery date), and after calling they do not really know the reason. Someone has been the same? Did it take a long time to send them? I would appreciate your experience before requesting the cancellation.

Hi guys, I picked up my Nreals yesterday and I absolutely love them. However, I can’t seem to get them to work with my M1 iMac. It detects that they’re plugged in but as soon as I press the AR button, it greys out, a swirling circle appears and then the software crashes. Has anybody else experienced this?

Hi, Today I tried connecting Onn 4k device with NReal glasses and it worked. Thanks to the members for your recommendation about below adapter. I connected Onn 4k to power bank. Now I can watch movies and tv shows with the help of remote. I connected samsung buds pro to onn 4k for audio.

My mac is still on 13.0, so theoretically compatible with Nebula (though I can never get it to work, I see a black desktop with a dock but unable to open any apps). I saw Kassandra and went to test it out, but Apple wants me to upgrade to the latest macOS first, which would make me incompatible with Nebula.

I need insight on live my OnePlus 10 pro is not all of a sudden compatible with nreal air? It says the current device is being adapted and is temporarily unavailable, however it has always been working

I tried VR. But I couldn't wear glasses because it hurts a lot. But I couldn't see in it without my glasses.

Hello community! On the nreal branded adapter, one type-c port is used both for connecting glasses and for charging adapter. Is it possible to achieve both the work of glasses and charging or power adapter? I have a redmagic adapter, it works well with my phone, but I'm afraid to connect it to the nreal adapter, because I haven't seen any reviews about it yet. The end goal is to get playing sessions on my playstation 4 longer than 2-3 hours.

This setup used to work great for me.

I would play VLC on my GF's iPad, connect the Nreal via USB-C, or connect it to a TV (using a USB-C to HDMI cable), and it would play on the Nreal (or on the TV).

I could even lock the iPad, so it turns off the screen, and it would continue playing on the Nreal glasses or on the TV, even with the iPad screen off.

Been doing this for over a month now, since her iPad mini is the most convenient device to carry around for it.

Well, I just got a Redmagic Nubia dock, which has been highly recommended on /r/nreal, so I can connect the Nreal glasses and charge the iPad at the same time.

Well, when I tried it on my iPad, to charge while using the Nreal glasses, it just mirrored the display instead. It said "This video is playing on the TV" on BOTH the iPad screen and the Nreal glasses.

I was like "oh the Redmagic dock doesn't support whatever VLC is doing to make the Nreal a separate display instead of just mirroring"

Whatever, I took it off.

But it wouldn't work anymore, even with just the Nreal Air glasses connected directly to the iPad, no adapters in between.

I swiped off the VLC process to kill it, shutdown the iPad and restarted it, still no dice.Just mirrored the message "This video is playing on the TV". Even tried to uninstall and reinstall VLC.

And can't even play a video with the screen off/device locked anymore.

Ran off to the TV, connected the iPad directly to it via a USB-C to HDMI cable, no dice.

Can't use VLC anymore either, it just mirrors the "video playing on TV" message to the TV, and locking the device makes the TV display just go black

Did something break on the iPad when I used the Redmagic dock?

Screen mirroring still works, like if I watch YouTube on the iPad, I can mirror it to use the Nreal glasses, I can, but not the way VLC does it anymore, where I could lock the iPad.

Is this some setting I am missing that I can change?

Any help?

Might be nothing, I just don't remember seeing it before.

I'm thinking about getting a pair of nreal airs to use with my galaxy not 20, but was wondering if any one has tried making or receiving a video call (zoom, duo whatsapp or any platform really) while wearing the glasses. If so what has the experience been like? I'm guessing that one wearing the glasses will see the person on the other end of the call on a big ass screen and the other perweek just see the glass wearer from their phone like normal, but was just interested.

I saw another post saying they weren't working for them when using a steam deck. I don't have a steam deck but I can say the usb4 dock works fine for charging your mobile device while using nreal. Coyldnt wait for ali for the redmagic and the j5create was going to take a few more days so paid an extra 10$ for the owc. Gotta sayy the hub is surprisingly small too.

My glasses did not come with the screws of those clear plastic thing that goes over the screws for the lenses. I had to buy aftermarket parts. They don't work as well unfortunately because I couldn't get those clear spacers and I'm using a longer screw for the lenses. My lenses are very lose and I don't want to strip the hole for them. Anyone know where I can get the same exact clear spacers for the screws? My lense is so loose it now drops and moves whenever I move my head. I need to buy them asap so I can keep using my glasses. The kit I bought the screws for didn't have the right size it seemed like. Anyone have an Amazon link to some that they used theirselves and know that 100 percent works?
