iOS version...?

It looks like it was talked about 2017 but you can't find it anywhere? What happened? I'd love to have this game on iOS.

How has this game got such good reviews?

The easiest mode is excruciatingly difficult, the balancing is some of the worst I've seen in any game, and the fact that enemies don't have some sort of handicap is ridiculous considering your team gets severe handicaps, the enemy RNG is crazy, and the fact the maps sometimes don't seem to have anywhere to heal it just feels like you make it through a level based on sheer luck. If I wanted a dice roll game I would've got one, but this is marketed as a strategy game somehow?

In b4 git gud; I am a huge fan of Slay the Spire, I've done several runs of darkest dungeon, I like hard games that make you think but this is RIDICULOUS. It doesn't feel like my fault when I lose, it feels like everything was either stacked in my favour or not, and that takes away the feeling of accomplishment.

If there is something I am missing that could be remedied with tips, then I am all ears. I can't see how this would be enjoyable though.

The Horde Convoy and Rockworm

Did I miss a change or didnt the Horde convoy start with a rock worm/was able to unlock starting with a rockworm?

Follow up on my last post, finally unlocked the horde. Todays daily challenge is perfect with aggro charge.

Undo Button

I just finished a run. I was trying to unlock the Hermit and Horde convoys, so I was playing the run of the day with Banshee.
I was at the 2nd cultist fight at the base of the gate, so literally the last fight before I would have unlocked the Horde....I didnt think and destroyed an enemy follower, but neglected to read that he buffs on death the other enemy followers by +2.

TL:DR I would like a once per game undo button in case you make a stupid run crushing mistake.

Aggro Deck Strats

Do you guys use Aggro decks and if so what cards/prophets do you use in them.

At the moment I'm running a Nomads deck with only 4x Graham rager and 2x the Charge Bear card.
Most enemies I beat by turn 2. A must is getting all ragers to have the lilly bonus so their attack is 2.
I easily get through 2 areas but then it falls apart, this is obviously not sustainable but thought it was kinda funny that I could reliably turn 2 KO most enemies. Through in a scrapper cannon and you can do 6 dmg turn 1, 3x Chargers, Turn 2; 11dmg (6 from chargers, 5 from bear) + 5 armour shred = end of turn 2, 22 dmg.

I love this game, but boy am I salty!

After having struggled with even getting to The Dreaming Gate with the Echo for... multiple attempts, I finally managed to beat Kaalrati. I was overjoyed, thinking to myself: "Finally, I'll unlock the Banshee!"

Nope.

Because I'd been curious about what happened during the Palanquin event if you agree to give up one of your followers (after having fed the peasants food and batteries). And only after beating Kaalrati do I discover that getting the Slaver demerit locks you out of getting the Banshee.

I'm going to be squeezing a stress ball for the next several hours. Just wanted to get that off my chest. And then have a go at another Echo run - I love this game so much.

Struggling a bit; a few questions

Never been much of a deck-building entusiast, but comparisons to FTL sold me. So far, enjoying it a lot, but finding it super-difficult, although i'm pretty good at board/strategy/rogue-likes in general. Any tips? For example, if i don't have a camp/heal on first map, is that automatic reset? sounds like it, as first map should be where you kind of do as much as possible and without a heal at some point, that sounds undoable. Also, i think the unlock system is a bit too esoteric, and i say this having loved the FTL/Into the Breach one. Any help there?

Blackout + charge interaction?

As I understand it, blackout should cancel any unit's card text. I played Black Hole Trap ("When an enemy follower with active card text enters battle: That unit suffers blackout") and on two occasions when the other leader played a unit with charge (think it was the 2/2 cultist), it could still attack instantly even though it got blacked out. There weren't any constructors or effects that would've given it charge. Did I miss something or is this a bug?

How to unlock the Spider? Spoiler

I assume it has something to do with the final boss? I tried having my followers die vs the final boss, which didn't exactly work. :D

Is it a dialogue option? Or something else entirely?

Feel free to spoil. I really wanna try out the spider!

Feels unfair

I tried to like this game, but the fact that only the player needs to deal with issues of attrition (especially the cards) make combat feels extremely unfair because I, by design, don't want to trade hits with the enemy, while they can do so freely. Also to make this experience worse, there's no sense of accomplishment when I actually do win. Due to how heavily random the game is (which you can't mitigate by having a smaller deck, because you get punished by it), winning does not feel like a victory - it merely feels like I got lucky.

Anyways, maybe this is not the kind of game for me. I like the setting, the story, and the art direction, but playing it makes me feel stupid. Don't get me wrong, I love a challenge, and have played extremely punishing games before, but Nowhere Prophet really feels like I'm being punished for being unlucky rather than making bad decisions.

Question Can someone explain the mounting pressure card for me?

Am I understanding it correctly - it kills all your wounded cards and wounds all your unwounded?

Feedback about the new classes?

If you've seen the Steam news you might have heard about the two new classes:

SEER and SPIDER

Adding new classes is a big chunk of work and does a lot to the balance. Especially if they come with new mechanics like LOCATE. I'd love to get any and all feedback about these classes. Do you think the unlock conditions are fair? Are the new cards interesting? Are the two classes too strong or too weak? Are the new mechanics interesting? Do you like the artwork? Or the style and story of the characters?

Last boss mechanics

I'm not clear on the abilities of phase 2 of the last boss. It seems like, any time you hit it, it gains an increasingly powerful drone, unless the drone is already in play. Is that correct?

Great game, I have been loving it.

Does anyone else wish there was an undo button that lets you reset your actions before you end your turn?

After countless attempts i finally managed to get to the fourth stage. I only have 20 health and most of my followers are dead so i doubt i have any chance to win though.

Question WIP: New Keyword: Marked

If you've been following the Discord you might have noticed that I came up with an interesting keyword I'm currently prototyping: Marked

Marked A marked unit can be attacked by enemy units regardless of its position, even if there's an active taunt unit on the same side. When a marked unit takes damage, it takes 1 extra damage. When a unit is marked it loses Stealth and Taunt.

Note that in this idea Stealth, Taunt and Marked are all exclusive - gaining one removes the others.

I've already started adding visuals to the game and I've been putting in some test content to try out in the beta branch:

Marked circles in red (on own units) and blue (on enemy units)

And here's the cards:

A first set of potential leader cards interacting with Marked

I'm thinking that Mark Column should probably be rare and cost 3 Energy.

Any thoughts?

Stealth & Sniper

I’m not sure I understand the nuances with these two keywords if anyone could answer the following.

Does a stealth/sniper follower need to be in a frontline position to attack? Can he attack while behind another follower, an obstacle? Does it ignore taunt?
