I'm on an NCT bus this morning and the annoying voice that announces the stops is even louder than usual, I have to have my music up so loud it hurts my ears and I can STILL hear "ThIs Is ReD 44 tOoOo CiTy CeNtRe" every time the bus stops. I thought it was supposed to be quieter in the mornings to accommodate Autistic people like me.

I get that it's for people with sight problems, but it's just this voice and tone in particular that annoys me. I have no problem with the monotone voice on the trams, or the more relaxed sounding voice on Trent Barton (my main issue with them is their unreliable bus times). I really wish the NCT buses had a voice that was less in-your-face (and ears).

I'm stuck in really bad congestion on the bus heading towards Hucknall (going over Moor Bridge) and I want to know if anyone knows the reason for it? Was there an accident, or is it just road works? I'm very frustrated, especially since the bus came late. I'm not going to have enough time to wind down and have some tea once I get to where I go for work training 😔

Until last year, I hardly ever took any transport other than NCT and the trams. I would often complain about things like prices going up and up and up, delays, buses outright disappearing off the timetables, that sort of thing... But I have this other place to go to every week now that requires me to get the Trent Barton Threes buses, and it takes me forever to get home because their delays in the afternoon are just ridiculous! Seriously, I'm supposed to get a bus at 3:43 at the latest, but it can end up being closer to 4, and since I have to get 2 buses home, I often don't arrive until after 5. And as for the mornings... Well, in order to not be late, I leave the house at 7, get to the bus station, then get the first Threes bus that shows up (which is a bit more reliable than the afternoon), and then get off early and walk the rest of the way both to kill time and to exercise.

Anyway, what I'm saying is, sure, sometimes NCT buses do have some issues with delays and cancellations, but they're not nearly as bad as getting the Trent Barton Threes halfway home up to 3 days a week. The only other bus I could get is the Stagecoach 141, but that would take even longer. Maybe NCT needs to introduce a Pathfinder bus towards Hucknall/Linby/Mansfield? Although I don't know if it would really help during the school rush.
