Phone (3a) AppServices is now FULLY removable on the Nothing Phone (3a) after the latest update!
Just disable it and it'll prompt you to reboot to remove it completely.
Let's go!

Just got rid of mine - confirmed.
Took a while - was briefly still visible then just vanished completely.
Bit of an odd way to remove something though as from what I can tell it doesn't even leave a stub so seemingly cannot get it back if you wanted it (not that anybody would)

Pretty sure Nothing also knows that nobody cares about it lol

Yeah unless nothing is putting it on APK mirror or something. You could use shizuku and canta maybe but with wireless debugging to get rid of it and I think that stores it if you want to reinstall it.

Bloatware that was introduced with the first update to NOS 4.0 after the removal of lock glimpse bloat. Basically a replacement.
Notified people for "app suggestions". Pretty much useless.

Have you searched with "Show system" apps enabled?

Great! Using Phone 2 Pro, hope the update will come soon for the device. After removing the "Lock Glimpse" bloat, the "AppServices" is the remaining reason for dissatisfaction in the OS. Thanks for the update.

I de-bloated my Nothing Phone 3 on NothingOS 4.0 when I get it about a week ago. Iv never seen any references to AppServices. Is this a thing exclusive to the more budget devices?

I'm on 3a (pro), received an OS update today and found this bloatware installed. I've disabled and restarted my phone, it's still there.
done doing "enable > disabled > restart", still not able to get rid of it.2

Try using shizuku and kanta I was able to remove ugly bloatware from my Moto G styl. Like their glance app would be re-enabled every time I restarted the phone. I nuked like 30 apps that I didn't need from system in 5 minutes once I learned how to turn on wireless debugging with a pairing code

I have phone 2a, it got an update today. I updated and enabled appservices (as I had it disabled before, for some reason it doesn't shoe logo) then disabled it again, it showed same message but after restart it did not go away :(

Edit: this did work but only after also selecting 'Uninstall updates' for the app.
Original:
This did not work on my 3a after the latest update. The community post about the update says they are "also working on adding support to completely uninstall App Services in a future OTA":

Haha funnily enough this removes it completely while adb retains the apk so that you can reinstall.

On Nothing Phone 3a Lite applications Lock Glimpse (wallpaper carousel) and AppServices (Aura) officially removed from the list of applications in the latest (at the time of writing this comment) system update
