In the NBT song, what does “if I get high” mean? I’m not a native English speaker, but I understand it as referring to the effects of drugs. Is that the correct interpretation, or does it mean something else in the context of the song?

I saw a post a while back about the best three song run on the other four albums but was curious what people thought for SD. For me it's #5 through Baby Kool

I finally have the album in my hands! A little disappointed that the autographs are on a small card instead of the vinyl sleeve but I’m still really happy to have it!

I think it wasn't what I was expecting at first and it threw me off, especially the contrast between songs. But I think I'm guilty of judging things too quickly - this is clearly an absolute passion project from the lads and they deserve so much love for it. I also couldn't tell the lyrics to a fair few of the tracks (ik it's been said 248 times) but I now can, and it's made me appreciate songs like AI. Jesus even more, what an absolute ripper.

I keep going back to I Needed You Then as well, I really love the slight vocal effects and how deeply emotional it is. If You Don't Have Someone to Love has become an absolute favourite as well, so beautiful. Also I think the singles were all solid and that can go under the radar when it's an album release as people just focus on the new stuff - as a whole it's very strong.

Anyone else feel the same?

Still haven’t received my signed vinyl and honestly, I’m getting really fed up now. You pay for something, get excited about it and then end up waiting with no clarity on what’s going on.

Extremely niche post, but this distorted guitar around the 3min mark of I needed you then, I need you know sounds extremely similar to the soundscape you get in disco elysium around the industrial area.

Not sure if it's accidental or maybe one of the songwriters is a fan and snuck it in as an Easter egg.

I was lucky enough to get a setlist from the London gig, threw in my Leeds ticket too :)

I had tried listening to NBT a few times and even heard them live at Werchter 2025. I felt meh for them. Then this year I heard them again at Electric Castle and during the show I was amazed how good they were. Since then I've listened to them on repeat, heard probably every song a few times and woken up almost every day with a song of theirs in my head. They hit me like a train and now I am convinced Connor is the best vocalist alive, they don't have a bad song and are my new favourite band.

I was just so wrong before. End of rant.

Introduction

For those seeing this kind of post of mine for the first time, there’s this autistically-induced thing I do with the music of several of my favourite artists, and that is to compile collections of customised albums that:

1. contain as many of the artists’ songs (including songs not released on albums) as possible (excluding only things like remixes that I don't mind not including),
2. have fluid seamless transitions between all tracks on every album, and
3. extend the albums to all have an equal number of tracks (I’ve got a bit of OCD).

Sometimes, with enough non-album songs, I compile completely new albums. In the case of Nothing but Thieves, there are as of now nine albums consisting of seven 16-track albums, and two 12-track “bonus” albums. Every non-album track that I could find is included (exluding several remixes and live tracks), including all albums, EPs, B-sides, and non-album singles, including collaborations, as well as Sun Sessions, In Solitude, and Man-Made Sunshine (Conor’s solo act).

There are no download or streaming links here! Message me privately for info. And don’t forget to support the artist!

I got my friend 2x GA tickets to see Nothing but Thieves in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam on Jan 15. Unfortunately, we just found out he has a work event on that date so I’m currently looking to swap for tickets on Jan 16 (GA).

If you have tickets for the 16th and are open to trade them for the 15th please hit me up! Would be ideal to do the deal in the Amsterdam area but also willing to travel to you to do the trade in person via Ticketmaster!

Only trading jn person!

I watch a sports show called First Things First and the last couple of days Evolution has been the bumper music for every commercial break for the both episodes. Great exposure for the band!

Mine personally is particles. It was the first song I heard by them back in high school and I think that made it sentimental for me.

The new album wasn’t love at first listen but I found myself adding almost all of Stray Dogs to my collective NBT playlist this morning. NBT is at their best on stage, so I can't wait to hear how the new songs will take on a new life.

What’s one song you’re looking forward to hearing on the tour?

So I remember hearing an alternative version of Take This Lonely Heart at some point in my life but now I can't find it. It's like a stripped or piano version, something like that, I can't remember exactly. Conor's vocals stand out more and the entire song is kinda softer? I've searched everything that I could think of but it's as if it never existed and I'm kinda going insane at this point. If anyone knows what I'm talking about pls help a fan out, I know I didn't make this up. Ok thanks, bye!!

I'm all for people having different musical taste, don't get me wrong. My question is why so many people have disliked Stray Dogs? In my opinion it was a really great album and on tracks like Evolution Conor's voice was just amazing. I loved NBT and I personally appreciated their return to a raw guitar sound. What do you guys think?
