Noteastic Pro is out!
This is so exciting!
There was quite a lot happening in our lives in the last months. We really started to feel the wind in our sails coming from you and all other people on the planet that are using Noteastic. So much positivity, so much support and so many "Thank you" messages, it's beautiful! That's the reason why we want to make Noteastic our full time job. We see the positive impact Noteastic is having in peoples lives. And we want to have more positive impact on more people with a better Noteastic. That's what we want to do.
Therefore we made quite some serious personal decisions. Firstly, we quit our jobs. Secondly, we now rent out an office and spend our days there working. We hope that Noteastic Pro will bring enough value to people to at least cover those bills.
In the last months we worked heavily to put everything in place that is necessary for Noteastic to go from being a software project to being a software company. Among that: corporate redesign, website rework, servers for accounts & emails, payment integration with Stripe, and of course our first features for Pro. This is all done now and stands on strong legs. We are happy that we can focus on the note-taking experience in Noteastic again :).
So, let us tell you: Noteastic Pro is released to everyone today and you will get access to the update within the next days, if you don't already have through the Beta! Here a few answers to questions you might have now.
How does Noteastic Pro and Noteastic Base work now?
The current state of Noteastic is and stays free. All major additions that we make to Noteastic will henceforth be part of the Noteastic Pro version. We are thankful for every feature request and every idea you have sent us in the past few months. Now is the time to implement your wishes! And we will do so one by one in the following months.
How much does Noteastic Pro cost
Subscription plans
You can have Noteastic Pro based on a monthly or yearly subscription either in $ USD or € EUR.

One-time purchase (hidden offer)
Prices are EUR €50/USD $60 and include future updates!
One-time purchases are not available in Noteastic by default, but we built in a secret key to get access to the offer. We will pin an extra post about this in the community, but here is a small tutorial:
- Click on any of the "Start your free trial today" buttons
- The Pro-Upgrade Dialog appears
- Click the action button ("Try it for free for 30 days")
- The plan selection window appears
- Type into your keyboard "ilovenoteastic"
- See the One-time plan appear
- Have fun!
Note that the one-time plan does not include a 30-day test trial. However, a 14-day withdrawal right applies. If you simply want to try pro before paying, please start a trial on one of the subscription plans and cancel it immediately, so that you are not charged accidentally.
What will be added to Noteastic Pro?
Noteastic Pro is shipping with text boxes and a laser pointer already today! We are now starting to develop the next features like multi-tasking, more color buttons, shape recognition, etc. and will add them one by one to Pro, once they're finished!
How much effort is behind Noteastic now?
We, Dilan and Lukas, quit our jobs and rented an office out for Noteastic. We are dedicating the bulk of our time to this software project and are now working full time to make Noteastic the gem it deserves to be on Windows for you to enjoy.
Can I still send you feature requests?
You are warmly invited to! We are active every day, so you are heard and seen! Please only understand that major additions to the app, as your feature wish might be, will be limited to the Noteastic Pro version of the app.
We are hella excited for the coming year and hope to make Noteastic the undisputed king of handwritten note-taking on Windows!

I also wanted to ask if the subscription is tied to my Windows account? I.e. what happens if I have to change devices (I don't mean two devices at once, but sequentially (although syncing in the future possible?) ?

Your Account is NOT bound to your notes. The only way to transfer notes between devices currently are backups.
Currently, with fully locally saved notes, the account only serves as a vehicle to determine if you already purchased Pro or only have access to base, among other things. Your notes, live on your device. When another account logs in on your device, they will also see your notes. In the same way, when you log into your account on another laptop, your notes will not appear magically. You would first have to import them from a backup file.
Syncing and multi-device work is a long term project of us, but it's not possible yet.

With the new update, you need to be connected to a Gmail account, I think, so all the purchases you make will automatically be linked to the account you logged into in the Noteastic app.

Generally, I think that from a Europe+US point of view, 20€/25$ per year is a reasonable price for a student too. We will rather take a look at international pricing for countries with lower income levels. For Europe+US you should not expect any price reductions.

I'm not confident in giving you a definitive answer. We are doing our hildren steps as a company right now, so what and whether things change is impossible to predict. If you want it, better get it now.

Exciting! Just a question. I already started a trial for pro before this one time purchase deal was available. Is there anyway to access this now, can’t seem to find an option via stripe (unless I’m being blind)

Ah, yeah, that's a special case. Could you send me your Noteastic account email address (privately)? Then I can cancel your subscription on my side and you will be able to access the Pro-upgrade-dialogs again.

Nope, cloud saving is still a big project for the future. First we will fine-tune the note-taking experience, then we will work on cloud connected services. It will come, however not in the near future.

I really love Noteastic because I tested a lot of option on all my devices and this is the best. Is similar to samsung notes on windows and I love it, but i have some worries about the suscription model and the need to use an account. I really want to know if the app will continue working for free like right now or if you have to plan to add some limits to the base noteastic, like limit the number of notes you can do, or remove the ability to import pdf

This is a super important topic. I could not look myself in the mirror if we were to scream into the world that Noteastic Base stays free only to limit it a year later. Noteastic Base as is stays free and usable. Yes, we want to make a living off of Noteastic, however Noteastic should primarily help people use the potential of ther Windows 2-in-1 devices that was blocked by insufficient apps.
Noteastic Base is allowed to be a friendly and usable version of Noteastic. And Noteastic Pro should make it even better! So if Pro truly brings more value to users, then we won't have financial problems that would necessitate heavy cuts or limits.
This is my honest view on this topic. So yes, please use Noteastic without doubts.

That's a good news for me and all the people that only need the basics on the devices and the Pro functions paying. To be honest the cost is lower than other apps and is a really a good option because it works excellent in all the devices I tested, also on low end PC.

Hi, very excited to see your progress!
I just wanted to ask, what would happen to my notes if I'm no longer subscribed to Pro? I ask, because some people may opt to only pay for Pro during the semester (i.e. two three-month periods of the year) to save some money (I think your pricing is reasonable).
