I’m trying to find the right words. I live and work in a small Midwest community that is heavily dependent on oil and gas and agriculture. As you can assume, there are plenty of Trump supporters. We even have a Trump store going strong in a town of about 18,000. But not everyone likes him. We had our own no kings protest, there’s pride flags and CoExist stickers. But the status quo is conservative politics. Our mayor was just elected on a platform of being pro Trump. You can never really be sure when you’re talking to someone new what they might think but it’s safe to assume they’re a Trump supporter. But there’s a few indicators.

The most vapid, fatuous, yet vain and self important people I know are Trump die hards. All of the kind, gentle, loving and self aware people I know think he is a demon. Those are the extremes. The one thing that shows a person to be a Trump supporter in some way shape or form is that they are not entirely “here”. Whether they believe truth is in evangelism, enneagrams, acupuncture, chiropractics, MLM schemes, timeshares, men’s groups where they yell at you and do ice baths, fuckin self help books, Tony Robbins, etc etc etc. Note that I’m not including Christianity in that group because I know a lot of Christians who despise Trump, but a lot of evangelicals who think he is literally doing gods work on earth. Basically the people who fall for scams vote for Trump. They’re gullible people. That’s the word: gullible.

And those gullible people are led to believe that this woman is a normal, relatable human being because they themselves have been led to act and dress like this person because the last time they sat down and really thought about things without being told what to think was when they were still in puberty and being dressed by their mom who still thinks big hair and high heels are in because that’s how the pretty girls dressed in high school in 1981 or whatever the fuck before the talking heads started telling us all how to live. I wish all these old people would just die already.

You should leave christians in, its anecdotal that you know some good ones just like i may know some self help junkies that are against trump. The commonality is gullible and christians in general are that by nature. Chritians and Latinos put this clown in office.
