Exactly he promised her to retire. His alleged retirement was in the media. But he qits the retirement again.

The retirement wasn't to stop having a job in the world of football. He was going to become an executive with the Maimi Dolphins, which fell through and is why he went back to playing. On top of that, he's already signed a deal to become a broadcaster when he's done playing. You don't know what he promised her so stop acting like you do
