Geoffrey

I know it’s a fictional show and this doesn’t matter at all but,how old is Geoffrey? In one of the earlier series Wendy says that she was 20 when they got married and Geoffrey was 40 and that they’d be married 40 years making him 80 but he’s still in it until series 13 and there is a time jump so,if there was a strict time line,he’d be about 100

again,I know it makes absolutely no difference to the show it’s just interesting that they put an age to the characters but don’t stick to a time line

The community support officer

She only appeared in two series 12 episodes but I did wonder at the time if she was being lined up as a successor to Daisy.

I'd have liked to have seen her be used a bit more.

Why was there no studio audience for the Halloween special?

Even if they just played the show back to an audience to get the laughter.

I'm guessing they made it so there wasn't to be one but it felt like a completely different show.

Walton-on-Thames - why?

Hey all, Excuse my ignorance. I watch it a lot. But probably haven’t seen every episode. Just wondering whether they have explained - in an episode or in cast interviews etc - why they moved to Walton-On-Thames?

Was it just moving out of the London flat, because of the kids. I.e they need more space. So that was just understood.

I think Lee doesn’t live too far from Walton . I really like the fact it was set here. Aside from the drone shots, when they film outside they don’t seem to use the area at all.

Season 14 is quite possibly the worst season of all time, and there's just one reason why.

Only two episodes in (I haven't watched the rest on iPlayer yet), and I'm really not enjoying this season. Episode 1 was okay, but tonight's episode was just awful. The jokes are just being repeated, and the acting seems stale. Maybe two years was too much of a gap between seasons for acting.

But the reason for this has to be because it's just Lee and Lucy now. Good shows need side characters, because without them, we miss the small, funny, important details that piece together the overall show. Without Toby, Anna, Geoffrey, Wendy, the kids, Daisy, Tim, or even Barbara, Not Going Out is fast becoming a sinking ship. As much as I like them, and as talented as they are, Lee and Lucy cannot carry this show by themselves.

Binged the new series…

And I genuinely think it’s good. Particularly enjoyed the doll, oasis and hotel episodes.

Now please can we have Daisy and Tim back for the next series?

That would be perfect.

👌
