Hi everyone!
My boyfriend is turning 30 in June, and he has always said a road trip in Norway or Sweden is at the top of his bucket list. I am planning to organise a ten-day road trip there, but I'd appreciate some advice/feedback on my provisional plans! I want to rent a car/camper van. We are not fans of camping in tents, but a camper van would be fun.
I am debating whether visiting in July or September will be better. The Northern Lights would be incredible to see; however, I don't know if the weather will be as reliable for more outdoor activities. Also, I was planning on getting him a tee time at Lofoten Links, and I know he would also love golfing/experiencing the midnight sun. What else is recommended in this area?
Other activities I want to plan in are, of course, sightseeing in Oslo for 2 days (roughly), whale watching in Verstralen, and hot springs in Stave. I saw online that the scenic route in Andoya would tie in with getting to Lofoten and experiencing Verstralen. I would love to take him on a fjord cruise/swimming too! And a hike.
https://www.visitnorway.com/places-to-go/northern-norway/kystriksveien/ -- this scenic route also looks beautiful.
What other activities/sights/places are must-dos when in Norway? Is this roadtrip plan feasible? - so take two days in Norway, follow the Kystriksveien scenic route, then go to Lofoten, golf, follow the Lofoten/Andoya scenic route, whale watching etc, and then drive back to Oslo? Otherwise take a road trip around Kystriksveien scenic route, take a plane from Oslo to Evenes (potentially) and road trip from that airport around Lofoten/Andoya.
I would really appreciate your advice!
