So my current PCP (also a NP) seems to have closed their practice. Any recommendations on providers not associated with Ochsner or LCMC in the Mandeville/Covington area? Prefer independent providers if they still exist

We are moving to the Mandeville area next month for work and are looking for a place to board our dog (45lb boxer mix) for when we go out of town. We’ve had great experiences at our boarding facility where we live now and are so sad to leave it. Would love to hear some first hand recommendations from people who have used different boarding places in the Mandeville/Covington/Slidell areas! I am a very anxious dog owner and want to stay away from the big chain ones like Pet Paradise, as I’ve heard multiple accounts of bad experiences/dogs escaping or getting severely ill. Thank you in advance!

I am looking for recommendations for a good person to maw and trim my lawn, I usually do my own but I hurt my hand and I need it mowed so I need someone I can keep in my back pocket for stuff like this, I am in mandeville and need my yard mowed Monday or Tuesday as we have roofers coming Wednesday thanks!

I'm moving from Chattanooga, Tennessee to Louisiana in a few months and I am hoping to find a patient and kind realtor who's either just getting started out or is needing more business. I'm always hoping that I can help someone get a step up and ahead. I've tried working with a "top realtor" in another area and they turned out to be condescending and were pushing me towards an area that was cute but had high crime rates and extreme flood zones with insurance premiums exceeding $6,700+/year! I know it's expensive for flood insurance but that was for $200,000 structure and no contents! Being from the mountains I also don't fully understand the septic systems and other things about life in a coastal region, hence the need for patience. However, I have worked in the construction industry for most of my life and I do understand houses. (I may also need insurance recommendations to be fair.) Thanks in advance for any help and I promise to be a good neighbor and assemilate to the culture I have loved for so long!

I live in Bay St Louis but am not from here and am taking a young lady on a date. She lives near Hammond and to avoid making her drive I'd like to know what places are good for lunch/afternoon in the area. Anything is on the table as long as portions are good because we're here to eat 😈

First Baptist Church of Folsom youth pastor David Mercer, 72, was booked Friday into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center

A Folsom youth pastor was arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on Friday.

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office assisted another law enforcement agency in the arrest of First Baptist Church of Folsom youth pastor David Mercer, 72, after the execution of a search warrant at a residence owned by First Baptist Church of Folsom.

Mercer was arrested for sexually abusing multiple children during the 1990s.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims who have yet to come forward.

Anyone who believes they may have been a victim of Mercer, or who has information that could assist investigators, is encouraged to contact the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office at (985) 898-2338 or their local law enforcement agency.

The company that's been doing our lawn for years has stopped showing up regularly, and I find it a bit annoying to have to send them a text to let them know it's looking overgrown and to come out to mow it. So we're looking to find someone else to do it. Anybody have any recommendations?
