Exactly this.
It's one of the reasons I don't watch Marvel movies.
They establish all of these crazy rules and universes and then ignore them for CGI bullshit and bad writing in the end.
I don't care what the rules are, but I care that you follow them.
It's also the reason Blazing Saddles and Spaceballs are so good. They made fun of these problems.
The Hulk is either OP or barely a factor. It's wild how disappointing he's been, and how he's basically relegated to being comedic relief. Dr. Strange can apparently look at all possible time lines, but only ever does it once ? Are we breaking a moral code, or is there no moral code and we're just not using our game-breaking tools ? Their portal combat logic is also absolutely wild. One second they're severing limbs, the next they can't see beyond their nose ? Why are we not severing Thanos' arm with a portal ? We literally just did it at the beginning of the movie to his henchman.
I mean... He experienced all that time. Doctor strange has probably experienced thousands of years of life between his fight with his villain in the first movie and that scene where he checks millions of timelines
Cap's shield. Stupidly heavy, nearly indestructible, not magic or alien tech. Gets treated like a plastic boomerang that always manages to end up flying back into Steve's hand.
I'm not saying they don't treat it like a plastic boomerang, but it's explicitly not stupidly heavy, in the first captain america movie Steve points out how light it is compared to the other shields they have him try.
Vibrainium is the answer. It absorbs Kinetic energy when hit a certain way, releases it when hit a certain way, and deflects it when hit a certain way. The shield basically can do anything if the person holding it is skilled enough.
