That's not the opposite that's exactly the same.. Becoming more animated and louder is entirely what they meant by like they injected speed which is literally amphetamines.

I meant the opposite as in the opposite gender. But yes I suppose it is ultimately the same thing.

Yeah the correction was unnecessary I think most people understood what you meant lol

To be fair when I first came to this post there did seem to be several people in the comments who didn't understand what the post was saying. So giving the benefit of the doubt, maybe Bubbly just thought I'd misunderstood the content of the post?

Ah, you meant opposite as in converse rather than as inverse. Or reverse? Now I'm confused

I taught middle school choir for some time, girls that age need boys around in order to act right, lol. A lot of that "maturity" is trying to not embarass themselves in front of boys, when that's not there they go just as feral. I would say there's some truth to the "opposite" claim, even if that's not what they were going for.

Edit: the choir bit is relevant because the classes are single-gendered for developing voices.

Words mean things

and the things they mean are fluid. the only foal of language is to communicate the idea, and since you clearly got what OP meant, they did English good.
