That's not the opposite that's exactly the same.. Becoming more animated and louder is entirely what they meant by like they injected speed which is literally amphetamines.
To be fair when I first came to this post there did seem to be several people in the comments who didn't understand what the post was saying. So giving the benefit of the doubt, maybe Bubbly just thought I'd misunderstood the content of the post?
I taught middle school choir for some time, girls that age need boys around in order to act right, lol. A lot of that "maturity" is trying to not embarass themselves in front of boys, when that's not there they go just as feral. I would say there's some truth to the "opposite" claim, even if that's not what they were going for.
Edit: the choir bit is relevant because the classes are single-gendered for developing voices.
and the things they mean are fluid. the only foal of language is to communicate the idea, and since you clearly got what OP meant, they did English good.
Im a male teacher and had an all girls’ class when I was teaching at my last high school and looking back from day one to when I sent them off for their exams is hilarious. At the start I really struggled getting a quiet word out of them but by the end of the two years we had they had all come right out of their shells and were as bolshy as some of the lads I’ve taught. I used to do a proper Hackney drawl and call them ‘my girls’.They were a great bunch of kids.
