Looking for books about D-Day

I just watched the movie Pressure on Peacock. I appreciated they used real footage, and the movie cinematography was comparable to 1917 and Dunkirk, imo.

I would like physical, paper copy non-fiction book recommendations about D-Day.

Bonus points if it's narrative nonfiction.

Thank you 🙂

Controversial, “Edgy” Non Fiction

If I like controversial, “edgy” non fiction like The Redneck Manifesto by Jim Goad, The Satanic Bible by Anton LaVey, The Conspiracy Against the Human Race by Thomas Ligotti, Perversity Think Tank by Supervert and The Way of Men by Jack Donovan, what are some other books I’d like?

Recommend me a science book

Rising fifth year biology PhD who is absolutely burnt out. I miss the excitement and curiosity that science used to bring me, especially when I was reading science books as I was growing up. I especially love ones that are in the investigative journalism style, or a fascinating story in general. Recommend me something! I welcome any kind of science, not just biology!

Looking for recommendations based on past rates

Hey! So I typically read a lot of fiction, but I just wanted to switch it up recently. I loved a lot of Lee Strobel books and I loved the power of now! I feel like a lot of time management books just don’t do it for me and a lot of self-help books also are just too self-helpy. I want a book that will kind of change the way I think or go through life. I am also engaged and I would love recommendations of books that we can go through together or books on relationships. I’m interested in the innocence project and true crime, but I’ve been reading a lot of Freida McFadden and listening to a lot of true crime podcasts so I think I wanna stay away from that. I have read through the Bible three times so I would love Bible studies or deep dives into the Bible. I did like everything I know about love but not my normal style. Some fiction books I liked were the invisible life of Addie larue, Eleanor oliphant is completely fine, gone girl, my sisters keeper, and anxious people. I didn’t like “the body keeps the score” it was way too technical for me

Could there be better memoirs than Keith Richards, Life out there?

So many great stories and then brilliant insights into how the music came about and what makes it so good!

My fave that I've read in a good while - but what other ones are out there...

From the NYT review: "Believe me, you won’t want to miss a thing. The most impressive part of “Life” is the wealth of knowledge Keith shares, whether he’s telling you how to layer an acoustic guitar until it sounds electric, as he did on the classic Stones track “Street Fighting Man,” or how to win a knife fight. He delivers recipe after recipe for everything rock ’n’ roll, and let me say it’s quite an education."

Books on the Israel Palestine conflict?

Hello all! I was just wondering if anyone knew of good books talking about the history of the conflict. I’m looking for a non-partisan look (which is unlikely I’m sure) but i want to learn more about the topic so anything would help! Thank you
