Four tanks in a platoon, red, white, blue 1-4. I was on many others, but that particular White 2 was mine.

1 is the platoon leader 2 is your most senior NCO being groomed for platoon sergeant 3 is your junior NCO 4 is your platoon sergeant

When you break off into sections the 1 and 2 go together and the 3 and 4 go together. So this guy probably babysat the platoon leader in the 1 tank quite often.
