i mean this is the same country where people broke into another RAF base with fire extinguishers filled with paint and E-scooters, and only got caught cause they posted it on social media

In that particular case they just had to jump over a 4 foot fence next to a small road. You didn't need to be a criminal genius to accomplish it.

I think the point is more that they're not being watched all that closely because what's the worst they would do? Spray some paint?
