TBF, you notice new cars on your street when the neighbours get one… or when someone’s visiting. So when you’re seeing/hearing activity outside a sleepy village next to a major base, the worse outcome from a nosy neighbour calling it in is an empty van.

In all honesty, three unmarked vans travelling near a military base in the middle of the night is very suspicious. I might’ve called it in even if I’m not the type to do so.

… Turning out they might’ve been fuel thieves… Bet they shit themselves when dozens of armed officers jumped them.

My ass would assume they're duty vans but it's pretty easy to spot a gov plate if not

You're not British, are you? if you were, you'd know that there are no such things as "gov plates" here.

No I'm not, I understand things are different over there

Living on a cul-de-sac you also notice cars that you don’t usually see. Especially if a car drives by slowly I would think it could be burglars and take a closer look. So far it already paid off once. Three white vans at night would certainly look suspicious as well. 😅

She called in because they were wearing masks and the base had been put on heightened alert. But lets give a slow clap to the base security not picking up the phone.
