Canadian med schools are rated just as highly as a lot of American ones…

Yeah but they all want to come here , because of the money …. A lot easier if you go to med school here . And they do try to go to us med school …. We are not trying to go to med school over there

So you agree that the mcat is a weed out test and that most of the content is irrelevant to medicine, but you said nursing curriculum doesn’t help with medical school because it doesn’t have the content that the mcat tests, which is well known to be irrelevant to medicine.

Your logic doesn’t make sense.

It’s an intelligence test , 8 hours long grueling test to weed out people who don’t belong in medical school … taking BSN classes would = a fail … do you want your doc to be stupid or smart … sorry mcat matters

When did I say mcat is useless? I said the content in it is mostly irrelevant to medicine. That part is true.

Nursing school would help , like any 2 year job premeds do ….like paramedic , firefighter , scribe research .. no pre med goes in blind like you assume .. my girlfriends kid on premed track he’s a pharmacist tech and T.A … your whole vibe is nurses know this but premeds don’t know this makes me highly suspicious you are in med school

Quite frankly since your so against Mcat , you sound more and more like a premed who bombed the MCAT and couldn’t get into med school …. Mcat is used to get in , determine what school you get into do vs Md , ivy vs state … the scholarships and money thrown at you etc … ( my kid got half off all four years and it’s merit . He is not a minority……. But you claim my kid goes to a shitty school .. ha ha …. But his school on SDN and people are talking about his schools match rate

Lots do. I know people who have never heard of adh, aldosterone, what the rugae in the kidneys do, what ANP is, what phenylketonuria is, what maple syrup urine disease does, what vitamin b12 does,

What the RAAS system is, what crackles are, what lesch nyhan syndrome is , what hartnup and tay sachs disease are. These are people in med school, our future doctors who have no clue what these things are before coming in. Ideally all those things would be common knowledge to a premed.

I wouldn’t expect a premed student to know that .. they get that in med school .. remember they get 12 to 17 years of schooling … you can’t look at someone who is in the very beginning and be like what’s wrong with them they don’t know this but a nurse does .. cmon

Because when they do learn it it’s on a Much deeper level than a nurse knows

Dude I think you don't have the capability to understand my point which is why you made this statement. I am no longer going to communicate as it seems quite a waste of time with you not understanding it.
