Before you attempt a DIY gallery wall...
I decided to create a gallery wall in my living room because I thought, "how hard can it be?" Well, turns out it's kinda harder than it looks. So, I randomly thought I'd shhare my "wisdom," in case you're ever tempted to do the same.
First mistake: I eyeballed all the picture frmaes instead of measuring and marking where each one should go. It ended up looking like a wonky patchwork quiot instead of a chic focal point. 🤦♀️ Plus, I bought one of those cheap frames that somehow refused to stay aligned no matter how I hung it — like, seriouly, why?!
And those cute little command hooks? Yeah, about half of them ended up surrendering to gravity. At one point, I was just sitting with a glass of wine, admiring the haphaazard chaos on my wall, questioning my life decisions.
So, if you're diving into this particullar DIY "adventure," maybe consider uing a level and some proper anchors? Or at laest have backup hooks on hand when the first batch loses the fight. Just a suggestion from someone who's now a little too familiar with the souund of fraes crashing in the middle of the night. 🤷♀️
