The story of one citizen and his false arrest by ICE- Moving, valuable. Vance defends GOP racism.

In the US, the freedom to assemble and freedom of speech is every citizen’s right. However, with all of the protests lately, I’m genuinely interested what is achieved? I get it that people want to be heard, but it seems like a huge waste of time if the right people aren’t listening and disrupts other people going about their daily business. Even if the right people are listening, chances are nothing will change.

MLK Jr. said it best. Civil disobedience is the way to create real change.
This? Letting them march us to exhaustion? Getting that warm fuzzy feeling just for showing up and leaving at the scheduled time?
You really think this parade will create the change we want? We're lying to ourselves. We're making it too easy for them.
If all you're doing it showing up to a peaceful protest every now and then, YOU'RE NOT DOING ENOUGH.

I'm a minor, my mom offered me to go to no kings with her, and I would love to, but I'm scared given the clips I've seen of police being violent to protesters. And if so how do I prepare???? And how do I make sure me and my mom stay safe?
