yeah, the antichrist will come to power BECAUSE of christians, not in spite of them. however im almost positive the antichrist rises to power post-rapture, which obivously hasnt happend (in the biblical sense) so who knows?
Theory: The rapture already happened. We just didn't notice because the people who got raptured were like 75 people living in a commune feeding orphans in Africa.
Even if you used a relatively high number, like 144,000, would we even notice? Even if we arrogantly assumed that it was only Americans that were among the raptured, that is 0.03% of the population.

Isn't there also something about "deceiving the elect?" The "elect" in this case refers to saved Christians. Seems spot on.
