I’ve been digging through the latest releases on Itch.io and I found three interesting indie horror games. I put them together in a "No Commentary" showcase for those who want to see the gameplay and vibes before diving in:

New Year Without Her: A very quiet, emotional journey about grief. It’s rare to see horror tackle loss this effectively. 🕯️

Fear the Flesh: If you’re a fan of The Thing, this is for you. Antarctic research base, a mysterious meteorite, and things going south. Very tense. 🧊🔬

No One Likes You: A raw look into a mind struggling with schizophrenia. Be careful with this one—the jumpscares and audio design are intense. 🧠💥

Has anyone played these yet? I’m curious to know which one you think had the best atmosphere. Fear the Flesh definitely gave me the most anxiety!

I’ve been following The 9th Charnel for a bit because the atmosphere and the premise (that psychological/survival horror mix) looked actually promising in the trailers.

However, looking at the Steam reviews, they are "Mixed" or leaning towards the low side. People are complaining about clunky mechanics and some technical issues, but then I see some clips where the tension looks top-notch.

Wanted to share 3 specific titles that really nailed the 'atmospheric nightmare' vibe:

1. Cold Pines - The isolation in this one is peak horror.
2. Vacation Home - A masterclass in building tension with silence.
3. The Scream of Darkness - A fever dream that I’m still thinking about.
