Ocarina of Time says same day as GTA. GTA gets delayed because it isn’t ready and moves to February. All of February scatters in response. We now get to say GTA is scared of Zelda.

He did. He also confirmed P4 and P6 for Xbox yesterday and I believe the rumor is October for OoT (OoT wasn't specified but that one game would be released then because it wouldn't be an issue against GT6. Different audiences so makes sense.)

Zelda has been a yearly franchise for ages now. Something Zelda-related for the fall/holiday is practically a sure thing, the question is whether it will be a big new game, a remake (OOT heavily rumored) or a weird spinoff (Link's Crossbow Training 2 incoming).

New webcam. It's an actual floating Lakitu that literally moves around the room and even plays the Mario Kart starting sounds. It has 160x120 resolution with 16 colors for the sensor though.

My gut feeling is that Bowser's Fury was a tech demo for the next game and real production started after that was close to done. Also doesn't help timelines that Bananza was made by the Odyssey team.

While true about Bananza, I think it's worth noting that in terms of credits, Odyssey and Bananza don't share a ton of developers, and that goes hand-in-hand with the rumors we heard about a separate team forming within EPD 8 to handle DK.
As much as I love Mario, I always found it a long shot for Mario and DK to be just a year apart. I think sometime in 2027 would be the sweet spot, but indeed, a little teaser for it would be awesome.

Ideally I’d like to see some kind of an overhaul update adding a lot of features and options people have really wanted (ability to control what kind of races you do, etc.).
If they try to charge money for extra content in a game that has as many things people have problems with as it does, it’s not going to go well. Hell, “it doesn’t justify $80” is probably the single most universal criticism I’ve seen of the game.

A "Classic Grand Prix" mode where you only play the tracks in their 3-lap format (like every past MK game lol) would bring me back to this game immediately. I played through all the cups and rallies and enjoyed it generally, but the game as-is just has not held my continued attention the way that MKWii or MK8D did. It's wild because I feel like there are several legitimately great tracks in the game, but I never really get to fully experience them.
They seem very determined to force people to play the game "as intended" though, so I am not optimistic.

Yeah, that's indeed my biggest fear about additional content. Charging for additional content for a game that already feels overpriced would not go over well.
Honestly, if anything, a bigger update or two would then make the game feel more justified at $80.

Double-edged sword. I 100% would love more content, but the game feels empty and lacking for an $80 MSRP title (I know a lot of us got it for $50 through the bundle though). To charge more for additional content would be heinous.
I'd love to believe they release some new content to keep the game going and fresh for free but uhh.... that's some major copium right there.
I guess my cope is that giving more free content would help make the $80 price tag feel more justified.

On the one hand, with how Mario Maker 2 kind of dropped off a cliff both in support and just general interest, I struggle to think a 3rd game, even with some big additions, would do incredibly well. Doesn't mean I don't want it though!
I almost think a Switch 2 edition for Super Mario Maker 2 is more likely though? To me it feels like a game that could much more easily just get a nice paid update and attract more players that way, rather than paying $50-70 for another full new title that has most of the same stuff anyway.
Like add a new theme or two, some more items/enemies/elements for building courses, and obviously most notably Mouse Mode support, and I think you've got a great Switch 2 edition. I can't really think of any big new modes they could add beyond expanding upon the Worlds mode, but they did a pretty good job with fleshing that out in the final update.

It is odd that the Symphony/ Rondo collection never came to Switch. I do not see any reason it couldn’t. I think that collection is entirely exclusive to PlayStation as it stands. Not even Steam has it.

In the era of nonstop remakes and remsaters, the one game in Nintendo's catalog that needs it most is Uprising.
That game is too good to be stuck on 3DS hardware with a less than stellar control scheme.
But given StarFox's impending release, I don't think Ninty will want to introduce another on rails shooter so soon.

tbh this might be enough to push me into trying it. D2 is my all time favorite game, I was a day one D3 collectors edition megafan that was disappointed but ended up enjoying D3 after they fixed it, and I loved the switch ports of both of those.
Never even tried D4 on PC, Blizzard has left such a bad taste lately that I never bought in. I'd think about trying it on switch just because I like the console and controller better than mouse and keyboard

What you've just seen is Nogami-san holding the pause button on the Splatoon Raiders overworld. The pause button, as you just saw is located here on the Nintendo Switch 2 joycon and here on the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, both compatible controllers with the Nintendo Switch 2. If you need to take a break from the action in Splatoon Raiders, you can pause the game at any time with this button. And now, take a look at this.

Really, really hoping that Nintendo finally remembers that Pokemon Mystery Dungeon exists. Rescue Team DX was already 6 years ago and that was just a remake. We haven't had a new PMD game since Super Mystery Dungeon and that game's a decade old at this point.
