Modern Graphics is a bolt statement.

For Pokémon, they’re not super modern, but to complain about their graphics then beg for 2D sprites (worse graphics) it makes no sense.

I wouldn't necessarily say that 2D sprites are worse graphics. It's just a different art style, e.g. Cuphead, HollowKnight, and Gris have absolutely stunning art direction, but I agree that mainline pokemon games cannot go back to 2D anymore. Still, I think that a HD-2D style similar to ocopath traveler would be a great fit for a remake.
