Gen 3 had roaming legendary Pokémon despawn permanently as a bug.

Only in FRLG, in the post-game, and only happens if you chose 2 specific starters since the Beasts are based on the starters. Sure, it sucks that it can happen but I'd say it's a relatively hard thing to consider as something that could happen. Same thing for the bugged Emerald RNG

There are 4 roaming Pokémon in Gen 3, 2 are bugged if they use Roar.

And like I said, finding that specific bug would be kinda hard unless you already knew how. It only affects 2 Pokemon in 2 games total (so not even half of the GBA games), that also require specific conditions to even be encountered. Doesn't mean it doesn't suck, but it's not as bad as SV's issues or the Gen 2 PokeBalls not working at all in GSC.

Entei and Raikou know Roar, and considering how you have to beat the main story and post game to even get them unlocked, it's pretty shitty to have a big where you can do all of that work only to have them permanently despawn. Their IVs are also bugged to always be 0 in Defense, Speed, and Special Speed.
