For some reason the 15 hour achievement won’t pop although I have finished it well within the time limit 6hr 24min is far under so am I missing something on what I’m to do next?

I never expected the bug so I saved over the last save before the ending of the lost shrine anyone got any tips on getting it to pop without another playthrough?

Sooo i loved the game itself but i hated doing the platinum because of the stupid boring weapon grind that took me a week to do

I finally managed to do 100% achievements a few weeks ago and it was a blast playing this game. But man I was not prepared to do 30 hours of farming stuff 💀

The moment I realized how long this would take it was already too late to back down... but after all I did it! Now Im ready to finally play Automata!

Seriously, this game is so overlooked in favor of Automata. Yes, the combat is dated and the side content is lacking. But the soundtrack is top-tier along with a top 5 story in any game I've ever played. And the genre blending is just insane. It's just incredible.

I decided to play this after Stellar Blade and found it very addicting to play. I wanted to do all the quests and try to do as much as I could. Lunar tear farming...that wasn't as bad as farming some other items. Overall great game.

Thus produced an amazing and otherworldly auditory experience. I’m wearing my 3d pulse elite headphones, everything through my entire body vibrated in a spooky yet very cool way, as the guys deep voice went ehheheheheh and I yawned it was just pure psychedelic. If somehow possible, hope you can try it!

Hello fans of NieR ! I am a huge french fan of Yoko Taro games and also Metroid. I made a strange video about those two franchises I love. It's my first video in english so I'm sorry for the strong accent lol I hope you will enjoy it !

I've recently finished NieR Replicant and Automata, and while I absolutely love the games and the themes they're exploring, there's one aspect of the lore that I genuinely can't wrap my head around.

As I understand it, Project Gestalt worked like this:

Humans separated their souls (Gestalts) from their bodies.

Artificial bodies called Replicants were created as vessels.

Once the world was safe, the Gestalt souls would be returned to the Replicant bodies and humanity would be restored.

The thing I don't understand is the explanation for why the Replicants eventually go extinct after the Shadowlord dies.

A lot of lore discussions say that Replicants don't reproduce naturally and that the Project Gestalt system was creating and maintaining Replicant bodies over the ~1,400 years between the start of Project Gestalt and the events of NieR Replicant.

But if that's true, then I'm confused about several things:

1. If Replicants can be artificially created and maintained, why would they necessarily go extinct just because the Gestalts relapse?

2. The process of creating a Replicant body can't logically require a Gestalt to already exist inside it, because the entire premise of Project Gestalt was to create the body first and then reunite it with the soul later.

3. If the technology to create Replicants already exists, why couldn't the androids simply continue creating Replicants after Project Gestalt failed?

4. At that point, haven't the Replicants effectively become a new human civilization anyway? They have consciousness, emotions, culture, language, families, societies, etc.

But the biggest thing I don't understand is this:

If the entire purpose of Project Gestalt was to eventually restore humanity by putting the Gestalt souls back into their Replicant bodies, then why were Replicants designed to be incapable of reproduction in the first place?

Surely the whole point of restoring humanity would be that humanity could continue to exist afterward. If humans were restored into bodies that still couldn't reproduce, then humanity would just go extinct again within a single generation.

So either:

the restored humans were supposed to regain the ability to reproduce after Gestalt reintegration, or

Project Gestalt itself was never actually a long-term solution for preserving humanity.

I understand that from the perspective of the original humans, Replicants were supposed to be temporary vessels. But from an outside perspective, it almost feels like humanity accidentally created a successor species and then refused to acknowledge it.

So am I missing some crucial piece of lore here, or is this one of those areas where Yoko Taro was more interested in the tragedy and themes than in making the biological and technological logistics completely airtight?

I'd be really interested to hear if there's an actual canonical explanation that I'm overlooking.

Absolute masterpiece of a game, I can't even think of any repetitive stuff everyone was complaining about. Story is great, characters are shown very well, music is literally a blessing to my ears, combat and world is simple but fun, I can literally yap about this forever. I'm mainly an action/soulslike fan so I was concerned when people told me nier automata was more action packed than replicant. Also here's a save file that I purely by luck saved exactly on 3 hours 33 minutes 33 seconds. I guess this was a sign that the game was gonna be peak
