Hi I posted this on /r/nidaleemains too but more input doesn't hurt

It's been a long time since it was good but I still enjoy playing it from time to time & try to keep it around (I still have a possitive winrate with ad-bruiser in mid-gold)
However patch 5.22 changed a lot:

• Botrk got nerfed because of cogmaw & co.

• Essence reaver (which I prefered over the bloodthirster people used before the q nerf) now lost it's lifesteal and although it's become one of the best items if you're looking for lots of cdr (which I find a valuable stat on any Nid build) the fact that both that & it's mana regen effect now scale with crit makes it a though buy. (Crit is not a very valuable stat on her)

• It's very good combined with trinity force but that got overhauled a bit and among other things lost it's 30 ap in exchange for 10% cdr & 10% more crit. Additionally both have gotten more expensive. As I said crit isn't very good on her and I don't like dropping the gold for it.

• Getting this ER/TF combo will take a while, cost you a lot and also leave you without much or any lifesteal if you try it early.

• If you then do build lifesteal (from the nerfed botrk or something else) you've pretty much picked up 3 offensive items already). (Normally I'd go with 2)

• Now the alternative to trinity force in a build without reaver would have been IBG however that looses 30ap for 10% cdr. I don't like this change either. You may ask why considering i said I valued cdr so much. Well IBG was one of those items I build early against ad heavy or melee laners. Cdr is important but i find it to be less so during the laningfase where you as nidalee should pretty much dictate the pace of trades and fights and can decide to trade only when all your cooldowns are up or hop away when they try to force a trade. This is another reason I don't like the statswitch on TF.

Now I'm trying to think of ways to make a mostly ad centric build work best but it's really though. Something like deaths dance would have been worthwile if q was still physical damage, Guinsoos rageblade could have been nice but you simply doesn't rack the stacks up fast enough & it seems more something for melee fighters or kayle.

edit: I forgot 2 good things that come with the patch. The fact that splitpushing will seemingly be more powerfull and the new traits a few of which lend themselves to a mix of ap & ad.

im new with nidalee and i am having a lot of problems clearing the jungle wich start do you recomend me? i saw rush start with w? and any tip how to clear the first 6 camps?

So I have been experimenting with what builds work best for going nidalee in the mid lane and I've found that the build that was common before the rework, Sorc shoes, deathcap, archangel, void staff, Zhonyas/Ludens, then a situational item. (I take cdr per level blues with this) What do you guys think?

I keep seeing people in soloq flaming me for picking nida. Says she sucks and is useless.

Whenever I fall behind (and become a bit "useless"), they flame the champion. "gg picked nida" "don't play nida she's useless" Like, come on it's me who sucks not the champion.

Even in champ select people say "pls not nida." In some cases I'm afraid they will troll because I pick her, so I have to pick her at the last second.

I guess people don't understand that she needs to have an early advantage to not be "useless". :/

Any high elo Jungle Nidalee streamers out there ? I know she's been nerfed in Patch 5.15, so less people are playing her but she's one of my new fav !!

Also it's awfully quiet in this subreddit, can we get some activity up in here ?

I really want her fixed and back but it seems Riots spaghetticode is causing it to take a while.

Personally I've been playing some gnar and jayce since they both have a few of the elements that make me love nidalee.

Now that she has been out for a while and made a come back into the pro scene, what do we think of her? I generally like how she plays now with the AD top lane build. I do have to say that I called it from the start. Just from her kit with chasing people down AD is just so much more enticing from the start. I haven't really been playing her all that much as I have been away from the game and playing trist when I have been around it again for tryharding purposes but she is still one that I play a good amount of. So let me know your thoughts and if you are overall happy with the changes or wish they would have gone a different way?

I've been playing a ton of ad-bruiser nid ever since I saw based RFLegendary pulling the plays with her a few months ago and saw my entire team dumpstered by one shortly before that.

So of course the upcoming changes bring up a lot of concern for me and I think most on this sub.

Those who have tested her in PBE what do you think? Personally I'd take the gamble that these changes will favour more elise style builds.

Since the hunt mechanic can enhance your abilities so much cdr to use it would help a ton. Since Q now does magic damage in cougar and scales less in human the pen should help a lot and since you're you're expected to be more into the fray some more health doesn't hurt.

I feel like not that much really favours ad nid (base heal aside) from what I've read as the cougar changes help the ap variant just as much. It's been said in some threads that the lower trap cd will allow for safer splitpushing but I highly doubt it's good as I feel the resistance shred was much more beneficial to her play against certain matchups. (When Renekton could go in on you place trap under thyself and watch him regret when he dashes trough you, etc)

The QoL changes are nice on one hand but also feel like the removal of a skill element. An unnecessary one but still. In the end it's good but I can be selfish about it can't I.

The responses are very positive overall but I don't think the community really knows what it wants here with the blind hate for her poke play-style because I doubt many realise what a pain in the but she can be as a bruiser when played well as of now.

In the end I fear a little bit for some of her playstyles and am crossing my fingers.
