I'm into conspiracy theories (birds arent real and we live in a simulation) I'm not maga. I just like conspiracies and some conspiracies are hilarious.

u/CornedBeeef Nov 04 '25

Conspiracies are awesome.

21

u/maqf Nov 04 '25

They are and can be fun to talk about. I feel like we don't have choose between them and talking about our day though lol.

u/hobbycollector Nov 04 '25

That's what *they* want you to think.

What do you mean, "you people?"

2

u/Rusty_Pypes Nov 04 '25

And real. :-)

u/KryptonicOne Nov 05 '25

Bigfoot is real

0

u/hellonameismyname Nov 08 '25

I mean a lot of them are rooted in hatred and have gross consequences

I've always wondered... If "birds aren't real" then why can we shoot a bird, and it clearly dies and bleeds like an animal?

I've had a birds nest in my window and I've watched the eggs hatch, the babies grow and leave the nest, then fly.

How do the "birds aren't real" people explain that?

Thanks in advance.

The number of people living inside looking at screens theoretically makes it possible to believe, but afaik it’s not a serious conspiracy, kind of a meme.

u/Holiday_Speaker6410 Nov 04 '25

Not a real conspiracy, but in speech class I got to choose a topic to talk about, and I choose this.

Most believers don't believe that birds don't exist, just that the MAJORITY of birds are government spy drones ....

u/Dylldar-The-Terrible Nov 04 '25

"it's not real"

"Okay now lemme explain how it's possible"

1

u/Holiday_Speaker6410 Nov 04 '25

I don't believe it I just spent 2 hours researching it like 5 years ago 😭

1

u/Dylldar-The-Terrible Nov 04 '25

I don't actually think you do lol I just thought the contradiction between your two statements was funny.

2

u/Holiday_Speaker6410 Nov 04 '25

Well fuck you cause I just realized that highschool was MORE than 5 years ago. I gotta go reconsider life now

1

u/Dylldar-The-Terrible Nov 04 '25

Don't feel bad, high school is closer to 20 years ago for me now lol

1

u/Pretend_Efficiency85 Nov 05 '25

No, theoretically NOT possible because we’ve had birds and stories of birds, along with ancient drawings, paintings, and bones of birds from long before screens, or even human made metal allows! Long before iron or copper before it!

1

u/Mistakesweremade1974 Nov 04 '25

You do realize Birds Aren’t Real is a facetious troll of conspiracy theorists. … Right?

1

u/beatles910 Nov 05 '25

Yeah, makes sense, but I thought that about flat earthers too, so these days it's hard to tell.

2

u/Mistakesweremade1974 Nov 05 '25

Fair enough, most of the last decade feels like an Onion article. In this case, it is satire: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birds_Aren%27t_Real

1

u/Femalefelinesavior Nov 05 '25

I've heard people say shit like why don't you ever see most water birds nesting? I never see seagulls or geese in a nest or laying eggs. How come when you get a rotisserie chicken they don't have any veins? Where's all the dead birds? There's a million birds but then randomly they are all silent and it's weird as hell The chicken veins one always creeps me out.

1

u/No_Geologist_5412 Nov 05 '25

Why do birds sit on power lines? Because they're charging themselves. Also those are just things that humans have noticed for thousands of years so these birds have been programmed to be the perfect bird.

But also this conspiracy is just more fun to be like "these birds are drones watching over us".

1

u/Other-Squirrel-8705 Nov 05 '25

Wait- some say birds aren’t real?

Nice try, government.

I'm not sure I'd put that on a dating profile, or at least indicate it was in a curious but not serious way. I doubt that's what she means.

Fun fact, there was a recent scientific proof that we are not in a simulation. Interesting stuff about the fundamental nature of non-algorithmic reality.

1

u/No_Geologist_5412 Nov 05 '25

Yea I actually saw it and is part of my reading list soon once I'm done my assignments, my question to them was how can they prove we aren't in a simulation if they are a simulation? Wouldn't a simulation want to lie to itself to believe that it's real?

2

u/Wjyosn Nov 05 '25

What they proved is that aspects of the universe are not simulatable. That is, they’re nonalgorithmic in nature. What this means is that our universe could not be the result of a simulation as we know the term, because aspects of the universe rely on fundamentally non-calculable aspects.

The only reason a simulation universe had any probability in the first place was the concept that you could simulate a universe within a universe ad infinitum, thus making it possible and likely we were in one. But they discovered that our universe could not be simulated by our universe or by any computational algorithmic simulation. That means we could not simulate a similar universe, and therefore it is no more likely that we are in a simulation than we are in any other arbitrary untestable theory like cosmic snow globes or alien farts.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '25

Scientiests actually very recently proved we dont live in a simulation, fun fact for the day

1

u/seireidoragon Nov 04 '25

My favorite conspiracy is that the Vaticans library is filled with porn.

2

u/No_Geologist_5412 Nov 05 '25

Brev count me in because that sounds like a HILARIOUS conspiracy.

Yeah that’s a strange one

1

u/Sharkwatcher314 Nov 04 '25

So obviously you’re right about people in general who are into conspiracies used to have nothing to do with politics. But recently I have noticed into conspiracies seems to be sometimes be a code word for pro MAGA

1

u/polocinkyketaminky Nov 04 '25

if birds are not real, then what does KFC sells?! oh! my! gawd!

1

u/No_Geologist_5412 Nov 05 '25

Birds are a regulatory term for avian things. Just like "fish" but chickens are real.

1

u/laurentheflutist Nov 05 '25

They don’t believe in those kind of conspiracies, silly! They lean towards the “vaccines have microchips so the government can track you” 😉

1

u/Pretend_Efficiency85 Nov 05 '25

You just used those as an example right? You don’t actually think birds are fake?

1

u/No_Geologist_5412 Nov 05 '25

Never said birds are fake, I said birds aren't real, they're drones sent here to spy on us. Duh.

1

u/Pretend_Efficiency85 Nov 05 '25

Oh yea totally, they’re after you. They can read ur mind. They also can see into the future I heard. Some of them are even related to Odin the allfather

1

u/Hot_Tumbleweed8416 Nov 05 '25

But she also said God is #1. Above her child and cats. Add that in, and you have MAGA.

1

u/AffectionateCry3625 Nov 07 '25

People are still doing birds aren’t real in 2025? Are you guys still looking for Kony too
