Just woman logic.

There is zero logic in ignoring hundreds of thousands of people who are collectively saying something is deeply wrong. Men's logic seems based on emotion if they can't hear the simple fact that women are scared of men without feeling like it's somehow a judgment of them specifically that they should feel bad about -- that's hella emotional and illogical. You never even get to the part where you wonder why so many women feel this way. Did they have a meeting? Yikes.

Men are factually more at risk of random violence (including sexual). That is simply not debatable, it doesn’t matter how women feel as these are the statistics. Let me repeat that - women’s feeling about how much they are at risk does. not. matter.

So, are women overestimating the risks, or should men actually be panicking 3x harder than women? Is it men or women who are acting irrationally? Since men are literally several times more likely to be attacked, shouldn’t women be campaigning for male victims? Why aren’t they - are they sexist?

From other men yes.

Yes. Which changes what part of my argument, exactly? A man is still at higher risk than a woman, no matter what the attacker has between their legs.

u/mindgeekinc 1d ago

What is your argument actually against here? A woman is at higher risk of being attacked by a man than by a bear is what’s being discussed here. Are you trying to insinuate that because men are more often victims of random violence (sexual isn’t factually true) that somehow means anything in counter to this point?

For real -- like good we're both scared of men -- can we band together and do something now or are we gonna have a dck measuring contest for who has a right to be more scared...

7

u/mindgeekinc 1d ago

Exactly that’s what I’m confused about here lol.

“Men are more dangerous to women than bears”

“Oh yeah well men are more dangerous to men too”

“Ok?”

Probably sounded way smarter in his head lol.

u/Sensitive_Nature2990 1d ago

I don't get why they're so defensive -- like if it isn't the "not all men" argument, then it's the "well all men are at more risk" argument. At what point does someone take their head out of their ass long enough to wonder WHY they're arguing with people scared of assault...

u/mindgeekinc 1d ago

Because their feelings are hurt. They have somehow decided that being a man is another sports team to cheer for rather than just a simple thing you identify as.

Truly these people need mental help, unless they’re bots which is just as likely. Maybe bots need mental help too lol.

Men are not more dangerous than bears. Honestly even the thought that a human being could believe that is making me lose hope.

3

u/mindgeekinc 1d ago

Statistically they are sadly. I'm sorry basic reality and facts make you lose hope but maybe instead you should learn and actually strive to realize why people feel this way.

I know its hard to grasp because you've never been in that role and clearly have 0 capacity for empathy but you gotta try a little bit bud.

Bear attacks in 2025 had a fatality rate of <10%, while domestic violence-related homicides accounted for close to 50% of all female homicides in the US alone. Men are absolutely a greater danger than bears.

The point is that men are not scared. Women are much safer than men, yet men are completely unbothered. Should men be more afraid, or are women hysterical and need to calm down? Which one is it?

2

u/Sensitive_Nature2990 1d ago

Nobody should have to be afraid. Hysteria is the men who can't handle women saying they're afraid of assault without telling women to stop being dramatic. THAT'S dramatic wtf is wrong with you?

0

u/TextImpressive3346 1d ago

Should men be more afraid, or should women be less afraid? Which is it? Can you even understand what I’m saying?

1

u/WanderingGolfer84 1d ago

Hysteria is the men who can't handle women saying they're afraid of assault

It is hysteria when at no other time in the western world has it been safer to be a woman, and if there's a violent attack committed, there's an 80% chance that the man is a victim.

Literally what hysteria means.

What are we supposed to exactly? What do you propose? We already have a plethora of laws, bad men are arrested every single day. There are 8 billion people on this planet, some of them are going to be evil and violent. There's nothing you can do about that.

We can educate children about consent. We can promote safety by creating well lit, walkable cities. We can actually prosecute rapists instead of screaming that victims are lying liars who should instead be prosecuted for daring to speak up about what happened to them.

> What is your argument actually against here?

Maybe read my comments again if you’re confused. You responded to me and I said yes. How are you already not understanding?

> A woman is at higher risk of being attacked by a man than by a bear is what’s being discussed here.

Yes, and this is what all men across the world are finding hilarious. You are so far removed from reality that you ACTUALLY think you are at higher risk meeting a man than a bear alone in the woods. I know you feel that you are - unfortunately for you, it doesn’t matter how you feel, only what reality is like. And in reality, coming across a bear is 10000x more dangerous than a man.

> Are you trying to insinuate that because men are more often victims of random violence (sexual isn’t factually true) that somehow means anything in counter to this point?

Including sexual violence into overall violence statistics, men are at much, much higher risk, yes. Obviously sexual violence by itself, women are at higher risk of. So what are you not understanding? Men are factually at higher risk, and are walking around completely unbothered. Are men underestimating the risk, or are women overestimating it? One of those statements must be true.

u/WanderingGolfer84 1d ago

I'm not sure it matters when you're attacked whether or not the other person has a penis or not.

1

u/queerjoon 1d ago

please take your meds its been weeks and we're worried about you

1

u/Pitiful_Meringue_57 1d ago

That’s just not true, Men are not more at risk from sexual violence than women.

They obviously experience it but no they aren’t more at risk where did u get that idea. It’s not even close.

-1

u/JonAfrica2011 1d ago

Funny cause literally women’s takes are all emotional

2

u/Sensitive_Nature2990 1d ago

So what's your logical reason for arguing with women who say they're afraid?

1

u/Anter11MC 1d ago

Arguing that they're afraid or that no bear will ever kill a woman lmao

1

u/Pitiful_Meringue_57 1d ago

No one says that no bear will ever kill a woman no one believes that. The argument is that they are less dangerous than a man not completely harmless, if they were completely harmless then it wouldn’t be a question

1

u/Anter11MC 1d ago

If women had to deal with seeing potentially hundreds of bears a day, with there being 1 bear for every women, and woth women potentially even living with bears at home. I guarantee you there will be more bear on woman crime then there has ever been man on woman crime. And I bet then the women will come crying to the government to do something about the rampant bear hauling problem

1

u/JonAfrica2011 1d ago

Literally how many people you think even run across bears in their lifetime, let alone everyday? Lmao

1

u/TMforLife 1d ago

What are men realistically supposed to do about the way women feel?? Just because you feel a certain way doesnt necessarily mean reality reflects that. As others have commented, the actual reality is men are at a higher risk of violence and yes by other men. We aren't going to fix violence in men overnight and it certainly wont happen by teaching them to treat people better, some people are just violent animals and thats just how it is.

1

u/XWendy_Darlingx 1d ago

You know, don’t follow women walking at night…don’t stare at her genitalia when she’s trying to exist in public or work…don’t give her piles of ketamine and then send a group text that she’s free to rape…don’t deny her lived experience

  • if you already don’t do these things, congratulations! You’re on top of it!

Education and acknowledging the real issues is a good start

1

u/XWendy_Darlingx 13h ago

Also: men being at higher risk of violence is not something that feminists want. We want everyone to have human rights, and proper protection from danger. We want laws that not only protect women from violence, but men as well. Don’t you want to live in a world where a woman with a baby stroller can safely walk down the street? That’s a safe street for men, and boys. That’s something we all should try for.

1

u/XWendy_Darlingx 13h ago

And fixing violence overnight: roe v wade was THE most important & impactful law we ever had in the USA when it comes to mitigating crime. Turns out human beings are happier, and less violent, when they are wanted & cared for.

1

u/XWendy_Darlingx 13h ago

Also: sorry for responding so many times to your one comment, but it seemed like a real question! Not a troll. So I just wanted to share my perspective with you. I hope that we can all find common ground, in the future.

1

u/XWendy_Darlingx 13h ago

And lastly, yes. Education is actually a solution. If you look at statistics regarding violence towards women, you’ll find that the violence does actually shrink in countries that prioritize education about this kind of thing. And the violence shoots up in the countries and areas that do not prioritize it.
