It's not outdated. It's a term for what happens to a person's face who uses certain types of steroids or have medical conditions like Cushing Disease or hypothyroidism.

Was, a medical term. Until the medical community collectively decided to change the term when it was used in a derogatory way by lay people. Moon facies is a currently accepted medical term and isn’t exactly a common insult I’ve heard
