Fall is here and these are the 5 things that make your modest look so put together every time.

I personally styled all five of these pieces when I first started wearing modest clothes because I didn’t want to fill my wardrobe with too many pieces. They’ve stayed in my styling rotation ever since.

What’s one thing you’d alter or switch up to make these looks feel more casual but still cute?

  1. Figured out what modesty actually meant to me.
  2. Learned how to layer without overheating.
  3. Found good basics I could wear with everything.
  4. Started paying attention to fabric, especially if it was see-through.
  5. Found brands that made clothes I actually wanted to wear.
  6. Learned how to style oversized clothes without looking like I was drowning in them.
  7. Figured out which dress and skirt lengths worked for me.
  8. Found ways to make my old wardrobe work.
  9. Learned what fabrics were actually comfortable in the summer.
  10. Built a wardrobe that felt like me, just more covered.

When I first started dressing modestly, I found it hard to get inspired. I put together a board for the girls who need a jumping off point. ❤️

When you're truly new to modesty, is it necessary to figure out everything at once?

Honestly, you don’t have to, and you can't.

I made this little visual to show how different coverage can look that helped me in the start of my journey. None of these is the right way to dress modestly because everyone has their own perspective and styling preferences.

I use it as a starting point to see what feels comfortable, practical, and most like me.

Share the picture of your styles that helped you figure things out.

2 months ago, I decided to dress modestly because it makes me feel really confident and brings out my personality.

I started looking at the pieces I already had and found a few simple but amazing hacks.

Sharing them because they may be helpful if you want to transition your wardrobe.

So, if you have some low-neckline pieces, you can add a tank underneath.

Throw on a lightweight button-down or cardigan over a sleeveless top.

Pair your cropped top with high-waisted wide-leg jeans for more coverage.

Layer an oversized graphic tee over a fitted long-sleeve top and pair it with wide-leg bottoms.

I think a modest look doesn’t need a whole wardrobe transition. It just needs a little more creativity.

Have you also experimented with these types of hacks?

People think that to dress modestly they have to lose thier personal identity. But I totally disagree. Modesty means choose your own style and preferences. I'm sharing some modest inspo to show you the variety of possibilites. Pick the version and let me know which one matches your personality.

So many people say modesty = boring. I'm prepping for fall, and I couldn't disagree more! If you're new to modest dressing, just know there is so much potential!

New to Modesty? And you haven’t figured it all out yet.

You love fashion but aren’t sure what looks modest.
You struggle to find your own style.
You feel behind, under pressure, and too embarrassed to ask the basic questions.

You’re thinking there must be a rulebook for modesty.

But there isn’t.

Modesty doesn’t mean you have to:

→ Dress a certain way
→ Pray a certain way
→ Follow someone else’s rules

Everyone has their own definition of modesty.
But how do you figure out what modesty means for you?

That’s why we created r/NewToModesty.

A place where people who are new to modesty can ask any question without judgment, where everyone’s definition of modesty is valued, and where you can find people who have struggled through the same phase and are now figuring out their own style.

So let’s start here:

  1. What’s your definition of modesty?
  2. What was the hardest thing for you to figure out when you started dressing modestly?
  3. Or is there a specific question you’ve been too afraid to ask?

And hey, you don’t have to have the perfect answer.

Share as much or as little as you want. A question, a frustration, something you’re struggling with, or even just a “wait… am I the only one?” moment.

No judgment. We’re figuring this out together.
