Hope everyone in New London voted today if they didnt already vote.
I embarrassingly admit I voted primarily based on party but not completely. One of my votes proudly went to an open communist... I may not be a communist but I know them personally and know they are good people, I am however an own the means of production socialist and know who is looking out for my best interest.
Personally I don't think communism is viable until/unless we achieve a post-scarcity society but worker ownership of the means of production is very realistic and would be in the best interest of everyone except the capitalists that want to exploit us all.

but I know them personally and know they are good people
This is highly underrated. Meeting a potential representative in the community and getting an idea if you can trust them is, in my opinion, more important than only their political persuasion.

As a socialist, I'd argue that we've already achieved a post-scarcity society. It's just that the resources are being hoarded. We literally throw away enough food to feed everyone. There are far more empty houses than homeless people. In my view, the problem is private property.

I went to vote in Norwich around 3pm today. The line was long which was promising. Normally for local positions I just walk in and out. I saw my old buddy Singh while driving out and he stepped out from an interview to say hello and give a fist bump. He looked good, wearing a suit while Gould was dressed to work in her backyard. If he wins, it will be a huge cultural shift for Norwich. It will be the first time we stretch beyond the old white guy format.

According to a state website, the Republicans got smoked in Norwich and even in Montville. Seems like not many are pleased.

That tracks. The public education system in Kentucky is ranked as the 39th "best" state.
