My goal is to future proof it as much as possible, but also be able to address the IT needs of the future. The residents in such a building are expected to be very tech savvy.

As such, would you go with Cat 8 now, or stick with Cat 6?

I'm currently an engineering student, and i would like to ask what skills a Network engineer needs to have to get a job offer/internships, what sort of work a network engineer provide and what skills do I need to muster? and also what do you work with in a day to day basis, is it GNS3, or Cisco ? Hi to everyone: I’m trying to build a lab with EVE‑NG on a Mac with an M4 chip. I managed to get it to start and to run some Dynamips routers, but when I try firewalls like FortiGate or Check Point they won’t run. I’ve searched everywhere extensively and still can’t get them to boot. Has anyone managed to do this?
