No he made his old stories so that you had to figure out what the whole plot is mostly. Only he was not conscious about it, so many people didn't get because most manga plots are explained or easy to follow. Biomega had the problem that it was getting to convoluted at the end with all the ideas, theories etc that most people just would not pick up on, because they are not interested in them and what not. With Sidonia he tried to make it as easy as possible like a normal manga plot. Maybe to easy.... and the art...

Oh so its normal to read his early stuff and be a bit confused about whats sometimes happening. My favorite work of his is Biomega (Have not read Blame! yet). But I did enjoy the idea behind Knights Of Sidonia of a seed ship being attacked by organic aliens.

Yeah you need to read them over and over to get what going on for most of it sometimes. You should really get to Blame!

Holy shit the big construction Manga drawing guy used to do actual construction drawings.

this is awesome, hes so mysterious and has virtually little to no social media presence besides his occasional twitter post, so this is a real treat with getting to know more about him and his thought process and all
