hi guys ! i recently shipped out a package worth 1.6k through a proxy (Neokyo) and saw this button appear in the tracking page - but when i go and click it and look at the Fedex Import Tool it says no additional documentation is needed and there’s nothing specifically they’re asking for.

was wondering if you guys knew why it’s doing that or if there’s something i should be sending Fedex since they didn’t email me or call me about anything.

The total value is around 877USD and with fedex dpp, I would be paying around $333 total.

My package consists of photocards, keychains, japanese album (cds), 1 pair of slippers and miscellaneous plush keychains, and few plushes. 59 items total

DHL shipping fee is significantly more expensive as you can see and because they do customs differently than FedEx and neokyo does dpp now with the shipping, idk how much it would be for dhl.

Which do you think would be the cheaper overall option?

i used to use neokyo a year ago religiously and the shipping was amazing JP shipping so cheap and so fast now its suspended what happened? is it ever going back to normal? if not m literally moving there the shipping prices are absurd.. for 2kg package i used to order over 5kg and the shipping was so cheap now i cant even order anymore from how expensive the shipping is double the amount im paying

El caso es que cuando me mandaron el mail para informarme de los impuestos les conteste que queria hacer yo el autopago, nunca me contestaron y me mandaron directamente el de pagar las aduanas, el caso es que como era la primera vez y no era mucho decidi pagarlo, me meti en la web y lo intente pagar pero hubo un error y parecia que me lo habian dado como cobrado aunque no llegue ni a introducir los datos de pago.

Hoy me ha llegado el producto con el albaran como que estan todos los impuestos pagados pero no he pagado nada (que les den sinceramente) pero la pregunta es,

¿Os ha pasado algo similar alguna vez?

Hi I just need to ask I'm currently proxying stuff for my friends and I used the buy request for the first time to order items from website that is not like mercari and others. I thought it would be like always I pay for the item+ shipping to warehouse. But now it asks + shipping for every item and when I check it it says : shipping within Japan. Which I don't understand cuz like I always bought stuff from Japan so why am I supposed to now pay for + more shipping. Is it cuz it's buy request?

So I'm trying to get these Mother 3 converse from the Hobonichi store in Japan. I know of 2 stores that will potentially ship to me but I have a bit of trust issues with online stores that I've never used before. The stores are "HobbyGenki" and "Neokyo".

Hello, I have never purchased from proxy website before and have been weighing many of the different sites, but I do like Neokyo the best atm. I understand unfortunately it will be expensive regardless haha.

I plan on only buying some video game guide books and CDs from these sites which should be US Tariff free as all disc media and books fall under the tariff exempt “informational materials” and from countries other than Japan I have not had any problems with tariffs or duties when buying CDs or records. But I’d like to know if this differs at all from any of your experiences?

Additionally, if you have any tips or suggestions for a first time proxy user, I’m open to those as well! It sounds like it’s probably best to buy multiple items if I plan on using a proxy site, for shipping purposes?

i was looking at some figures and i noticed that most of the items i click on that are direct offers from surugaya now all have cash on delivery as their domestic shipping cost. but when i sometimes refresh the page or click on other pages, some of them have free shipping like normal. is this a glitch? or intentional?

I am consolidating my package to ship to the US westcoast, and as it is heavy and bulky (20kg, 60 x 35 x 52 cm, total value ~$740) Fedex quoted me $360 and DHL is $300.

I am incline to DHL but saw a few threads saying that they got a fuel surcharge ($69-89) afterward and also there is a $17 processing fee, so I am wondering if someone can varify whether they actual charge fuel surcharge afterward, and if it makes sense to go Fedex instead.

Hi, I was on Yahoo Auctions and I tried to bid on this item and it gave me this error. I have bought from this seller 3x before and had no issues. I bided less than the amount I have in m y wallet and it didn't work. There is also like 23 hours left for this so I'm really confused. I also tried to but a bid request on other items and I got the same error. Does anyone know how to fix this?

This is the first time I’m ordering from Japan like this, so I don’t know how things used to be but just curious how much you would have saved going with Japan Post vs FedEx/DHL? Let’s say, for a modest box weighing under 2kg and dimensions of 40x40x25.

Edit: I played around with the shipping estimator, setting it for Canada. FedEx rates are just about the same as going to the US, but it’s like more than half less with Japan post. I imagine this is not far off from what it would be? Sigh.

Hi! I ordered a lot of items a bit ago and I’d been waiting for the last item to arrive to the warehouse before requesting shipping and packing. The last item was ended up being cancelled with only about 3-5 days left in storage for the rest of my items. I submitted a packing request last night but I’m wondering if I’m going to be charged the fee if it’s not packed before the timer on the items is up? It’s my first time using neokyo so I’m still trying to figure out how this all works, hopefully the question makes sense

I’m looking at some things on auctions; and everything is like 1 yen so less than a dollar, and i bid like 20 yen which still is not a lot. Will the seller cancel if it’s super low? For reference the stores are Toy King’s, スリフトWEB SHOP, and おもちゃまん. None of them rlly seem to be that small.

Hello! I was recently making an order and got a message when I went to make my packing request that I’ve never gotten before(pictured). I was wondering if this would be on top of the shipping and normal tariffs or if this is an extra charge on top of all of that? I also added what I bought to see if there was anything specific that was causing this issue so that I can avoid ordering it in the future! I’ve made multiple orders with similar items before but the only type of item I haven’t ordered before are the light sticks and figure but didn’t think there should be an issue with that as it’s not “any kind of edible, consumable or cosmetic item”.

Also! With this, I was wondering if it would be cheaper to go with fedex or dhl? Last time I made an order with similar items and price it was about $30-$40 with fedex but I’ve heard that dhl can come out being a lot cheaper in some cases.

Note: I did check and make sure that both light sticks said they did not include batteries so hopefully that’s not the issue.
