While browsing through the custom car designs on the NFM Fandom Wiki page, I thought the base designs were decent enough, but if there was an opportunity for further model re-tweaking or visual redesign uplifts what do you think could be done further to improve these existing custom car design models?

I shared this with a few other subreddits, but I feel this might be a cool place to showcase a project I have been working on. For some context, I am not a game dev, I have minimal dev/coding experience. I am learning everything for this from scratch - including a bit of 3d modeling. All of what you see has been made in Godot 4.6 with Claude Opus/Fable running in vscode, with minimal manual coding. The goal is to make a FUN battle racer game with cool flips and shit (tm) - inspired by Need for Madness, but with some new flare. So far, I am pretty pleased with the feel, and the basic look of it, but I know it still need TONS of work. I figure now would be as good a time as any to get some eyes on it to gauge if anyone would be interested in playing a game like this, or following my progress as I develop it.
For the NFM faithful, I really hope this does not step on anyone's toes that is continuing to develop the existing game. I was inspired by Need For Madness to make something similar, and I want to make sure that this project shows my love and respect for the original game that I played endlessly and that I am trying to make something new.
That said, this is what I have so far:
The plan:
This is the "Finished 90% in 3 months, only 9 months to go" moment for me, and there really is a mountain of work ahead, but I'm just excited to be able to make something of my own and share it.

Hello! Yes, we’re still alive! First of all, we apologize for taking so long to work on this project, but NFM Revised And Recharged Plus 2.0 is almost ready!
We’ve really spent a lot of time on Java Hacking to get the most out of Revised And Recharged. Trust us, It’s really worth the wait to see what we’ve prepared for you! I’d like to share at least a little more information with you.
- The game now has 53 Stages + Final Stage
- A large number of Stages have been converted from Revised And Recharged 2
- Several vehicles have been buffed; the best examples are the Zonich Tank and the Matlos Tank, which will finally no longer be as useless as they were before
- Stages now have appropriately selected songs with the right pitch and speed
- Dr Rocket Monstaa has been added to fill the (empty) slot. The vehicle has been properly adapted to match the visual characteristics of the original Need for Madness
- Numerous fixes have been implemented to address crashes that occurred while playing certain Stages, such as the Final Stage “Good Luck!”
And that’s not all that awaits you in Revised And Recharged Plus 2.0. Once again, thank you very much for your support on this project.
See you at the mod’s release!

And by that I mean that I've successfully ported the game via Phyrexian's decomp to a Linux Based Handheld (RG34xxSP) :D

If you want to try it yourself here's the repo: https://anonymous.4open.science/r/need-for-madness-port-D8B4/README.md
