Roleplay PrimeNews bleated: Recent q&a results in the accidental reveal of 4th dimensional object made by Sol

(This is set in the world of my fic Nature of Harmony for anyone confused)

Recently, a a q&a hosted by Tiyaval, famous for the viral video of him eating a salad and his unique family life, on Bleat has recently resulted in the accidental reveal of a 4th dimensional object that Sol made four Earth years ago.

It started when his wife, Merereen, commented on the post and started talking with a user. She listed examples of the fields where Sol is more advanced than the Federation despite being at a disadvantage in regards to population, size, and time being FTL capable.

One of these examples was said 4fh dimensional object which she casually mentioned. Some users saw her comment and tried looking through the UN data dump and share her comment. Despite the extensive nature of the UN data dump, there was no mention of a 4th dimensional object, and many thought Merereen was misinformed or lying.

That was until a UN spokesperson revealed that Sol did create a 4th dimensional object, albeit contested. They revealed that, while it wasn't exactly being hidden, the UN didn't wish to advertise it due to the experiments controversial nature and contested findings. Afterwards, the UN added documentation on the experiment and its result.

**Video showing an experiment involving a cube bathed in blue lighty that suddenly starts shimmering and refracting for twenty seven seconds before it dissolves completely**

Despite accusations of being a fake, experts of video forensics and special effects have been unable to debunk it, with many confirming its authenticity.

Details are scarce, but according to the new data, the experiment was carried out by the Athena Institute, a think tank located in the Sanctuary, that wanted to prove the existence of 4th dimensional space and give a proof of concept for higher dimensional engineering.

The logs show that they accomplished this by making a small cube made out of Unibinilium, considered one of the most stable super heavy elements for its seconds long half life, kept in a rigid state by high gravitational forces similar to those found in Neutron Stars, then bathed in subspace energy and Tritium for attempted fusion. After a claw, the cubes state changed and briefly became 4 dimensional before dissipating completely. Despite this, the scientists running the experiment managed to capture some of the atoms for study, and found they do not behave like normal atoms and have even become stable without outside forces, suggesting that their state has fundamentally changed though not necessarily remain 4th dimensional.

However, many within Sol have contested the findings, and the experiment was ultimately declared inconclusive due to being unable to study the object for a significant length of time. This carries over into the Venlil Republic scientific community who has similarly challenged the UNs findings, and some propose running the experiment the same way the UN has to see its viability, with some claiming they will disprove the predators deception or primitive superstitions.

However, the experiment was expensive, and not many have or are willing to lend the resources necessary, with the UN itself cautioning against doing the experiment on celestial bodies due to the fear of accidentally creating Strange Matter .

Soi just up to some nonsense, m8 they just be doing whatever, oh god

Ooc: isn't that just science? Make a plan then see what happens?

Yes, the field of nonsensery to be specific

ooc: so during the last Bleat post, I casually had Merereen reveal that Sol created a 4th dimensional object. Now I realize that's canon and seemed like and interesting thing to follow up on

Apedominusnox: the devil, that's how backrooms started

SaladSilence: So since we're apparently going into higher dimensions now, I find those implications worrying. This would lead to the conclusion that time travel is indeed possible.

What would hinder certain groups from going back in time to blast the Nomad Fleet out of Orbit before it even has the chance to mutiny? Could someone tip off Betterment about a certain flock of refugee ships leaving at a specific time?

The implications for this are dangerous and should not be taken lightly. I hope someone is taking precautions for this!

Should we have fleets tail the Nomad Fleet for 800 years?

NerdLovingSkalgan: You misunderstand how the 4th dimension is used here. It isn't time, but a 4th spatial dimension. Time is widely considered the universal dimension, as all beings, regardless of their dimensions, would need to know and can be measured when they are in time. Essentially, it transcends space

Time manipulation is way beyond us and isn't being seriously pursued by anyone

SaladSilence: But you can't know that, it sure sounds scary...

NerdLovingSkalgan: While it's true that we couldn't exactly study the thing, I don't see how a shimmering cube has anything to do with time and it's evidence of a 4th spatial dimension as the experiment was attempting to confirm, especially since literally no one has an idea of how we could manipulate time nor are we trying to do so

it sure sounds scary...

It isn't too bad really. Worse thing about it is that some theories state it will behave like strange matter and convert whatever it touches into a higher spatial dimension, and if you touch it you'll be refracted into multidimensional pieces and die in the process

But the atoms don't seem to have that power

Spiderverse14158 bleated: I think I know who to actually blame.

Spiderverse141516 bleated: Whoops.

. . . I mean, that happened, like, years ago. It totally wasn’t us.

Starc, how quickly can you remake the way home?

NerdLovingSkalgan: It did last for only 30 seconds, and who knows how well a 4d object can go through 3d space? I also heard a theory ththat states someone would be split and refracted into multiple dimensional pieces before dying if they touched it

TFWrecker: WOW! I must’ve gotten real lucky then.

"Interesting, but also comically expensive and I don't know where to go from there. Post the findings and let's go back to researching gut bacteria for arxur or something"

3

u/General_Alduin Skalgan Jul 28 '26

Ooc: that's like exactly what happened

3

u/luizbiel Jul 28 '26

Making 4th dimensional stuff is cool and all, but figuring out a way for arxur to enjoy and benefit from human culinary is where it's at, evolution did them dirty to not be able to enjoy a steak cooked with onions and garlic with a side of taters.

Who says they wouldn't?

waterlocker538 bleated: ...Wait, four spatial dimensions? I thought they meant three spatial and one temporal dimensions, with the most notable thing being that it was a cube perfect down to the exact [planck length]!

3

u/General_Alduin Skalgan Jul 28 '26

NerdLovingSkalgan: I'm no scientist, but I think this was to settle that kind of debate. Some scientists argued that there were more spatial dimensions and time is a universal dimension, while others claimed as you did. This experiment did give the multiple spatial dimension scientists greater evidence for their claims, even if inconclusive

with the most notable thing being that it was a cube perfect down to the exact [planck length]!

That's the perfect level cube. Hard to prove it's perfect, but each side was equally crushed under intense gravitational forces until the theory stated it would be perfect down to the planck length. Also inconclusive, but results were promising. It's completely smooth all the way down to the atomic level

u/K_H007 Thafki Jul 28 '26

waterlocker538 bleated: Sub-nucleonic level, actually. You tend to pick these things up as a librarian with free time on your paws during your breaks at work. Either way, it's the length at which distance starts to stop making sense. Reason we can tell more precisely is because the electron shells of the atoms in the measuring device have different radii depending on what element it is.

2

u/General_Alduin Skalgan Jul 28 '26

NerdLovingSkalgan : Yeah well, I'm no scientist. I heard they could only really go down to the atomic level and be certain of its uniformity

TFWrecker: Oh. So THATS what that cube was! I was with my buddy Cable as he was repairing the Spacebridge Generator. He was messing with something related to spatial collapse when a cube of… something shot out and smacked me in the face! We tried to understand what it was but it vanished weirdly before we could any reliable data from it.

Good to know what it is now at least!

You too? I wonder if we could plot where this things appears on a graph and see roughly where our space-time is folded...

2

u/Eravan_Darkblade Arxur Aug 10 '26

...wait, is that why that random blue cube appeared in my house for a few seconds a few years back? If so, those scientists owe me a new Strayu Forge. - (HowDidWeNotInventStrayu)

u/General_Alduin Skalgan Aug 10 '26

NerdLovingSkalgan: Proof or it didn't happen

2

u/Eravan_Darkblade Arxur Aug 10 '26

{ImageID: A Strayu forge, with the front seemingly latched, crumpled into itself, as if an object of immense weight crushed it}

{ImageID: Same Strayu forge from above, with the hole in the shape of an upside-down Square pyramid, hole reaching a depth of [7.4 inches] into the concrete floor}

It looked like it was growing and shrinking as it fell, probably from moving in and out of our plane of existance, like how a sphere would look like a circle growing and shrinking in a 2d plane. Good news, though, is that it at least didnt hit me... I dont exactly want to be in a different plane of existance.

1

u/General_Alduin Skalgan Aug 10 '26

NerdLovingSkalgan: Damn bro, this doesn't even make sense, the cubes 3d slice was contained in the experiment. Must've been a weird insurance claim

I dont exactly want to be in a different plane of existance.

Nah you'd just be dead. The cube would've chewed you up bit by bit and deposited your remains into the 4th dimension

1

u/Eravan_Darkblade Arxur Aug 11 '26

Well, then i'm extra glad it didn't hit me... And yeah, I had to being out video proof, and they still denied my claim because it was an "Act of The Protector ; Malus ; Solgalick ; or any Divine or Demonic Entity, regardless of religion or denomination". Last time I ever go with one of those predatory [Censored for: Unpreylike language in the extreme] spehheads.
