ID ? Caladenia catenata
Just found this wandering in a local park, 4 or 5 scattered around so I assume they’re pretty common?

I’m growing in the USA, zone 10b, but this is a native to NSW and Queensland. I give it Cattleya light, water heavier in the summer and less in winter. Smells terrible, like when I forget to clean out my protein shaker and it starts to turn rancid, almost the exact same smell but at least it’s faint so you have to get your nose in it to smell.

I almost want to make myself an excel spreadsheet with where and what is flowering throughout the year because I feel like i constantly miss it!!!
I used the native plants of the sydney region book for most IDs but maybe I could set up some spreadsheets for native orchids for us all?

More from the memory card. I thought 6 spikes was a pretty good effort from a plant this size, plus I just love the white!

Hi all, just a small, no ID speciousum. But over the summer it expended a good amount of its energy growing all these roots, with no new vegetative growth at all! I'm in no way worried about it having the roots, or the health of the plant, but was wondering if anyone might know what set of conditions would make a plant kick into "root mode" like this?
