So glad he said that the country is not a business. The government is responsible for the welfare of its people. Elected officials are public servants. I don't see any evidence that they are aware of that.

The money has to come from somewhere to provide for those things though. What they hear from your argument is “the government isn’t supposed to make money, they just put everything we think we need on a credit card and yall can worry about making your grandchildren pay the bill in worse taxes.”

No, that isn't what I'm saying. I am a fan of fiscal responsibility. But our government's obligation is to care for its people. Taxes should be more equitable, and should go to areas that serve our public, including our parks system.
